Mike nodded along. “Yes, I’ve… heard.”
“I checked it out myself last night,” Gerard said. He paused for a moment, smirking. “Couldn’t make any sense of it, of course - I don’t think it’s my calling. At first I was going to destroy it, but, I figured you would be interested in having a look?”
An excitement began to build in his chest at the very thought, and Gerard seemed to pick up on it.

“C’mon, Jon.” Daisy pushed his glass further across the table, closer towards him. “Drink up.”
Jon stared into the glass of whiskey. He picked it up, swirling it around a few times, watching the liquid ride up the side of the glass, like waves crashing upon the shore. His stare quickly turned into glare, which in turn moulded into a look of defeat as he allowed the glass to drop back to the table.
“Why are we doing this, again?” he asked, glancing back up at Daisy, who simply sighed.
Or, in which Daisy finally takes Jon for drinks after work, and the two have a much needed conversation.

“I feel like… I never really get to relax around you. It’s nice.”
“Maybe we should do this more often,” Asriel said.
“We should!” Dess exclaimed, and Asriel couldn’t help but grin at the light that flooded into her eyes. “I mean, what, your mom always does choir practice this time on a Saturday, and- I mean, my mom is usually always out during the day. We need to make this a regular thing.”
Asriel certainly wasn’t going to pass up any opportunity to hang out with Dess.
“And, like, we don’t even have to do anything,” Dess continued, flopping back down onto the bed and dragging Asriel down with her. He followed her lead, his fingers still intertwined with hers, with his other arm instinctively looping around her back as she slotted into his side. “We can just… be. Y’know?”
Asriel nodded as Dess buried her head into his chest, her shoulders relaxing as she let out a breath. “Yeah. I- I think I do.” His hand moved up to her hair, gently brushing through those soft strands. “I’d… like that a lot.”
Or, five times Asriel was alone with Dess, and one time he wasn’t.

Susie still couldn't believe it. Their Majesties, the rulers of this kingdom, wanted her to be at their ceremonial ball. She kept wondering about the reason for such invites, as they were given to her on two separate occasions.
Noelle's had been more formal. A guard found her in the marketplace, people watching as they normally do, judging, and handed her a letter from the queen. Susie may have some trouble reading, but you didn’t need to know what the cursive letters in gold with the royal seal meant. It was an invitation, one you couldn't refuse.
Kris, on the other hand, had been just as informal.
Or; Susie, a peasant, has been invited by Kris and Noelle, the sovereign of this kingdom, to a ball. She manages to make Kris and Noelle realize they are both down bad for her, except, she has no idea they’re in love with her. Shenanigans and self-doubt issue.
