A disappointment, to those who hoped he’d have something like a wolf, himself included. His dad tries to bake him the traditional settling cake, in the shape of the new adults’ daemon, but his cake decorating skills aren’t great, so it mostly looks like a grey football. And Shanes’ strict diet doesn’t allow for cake.

Somehow that made me remember our weird joint training mission with Trabia Garden, to that isolated village in the northern snowfields... I always thought it was a fever dream brought on by hypothermia—a dying woman in a heavy fur cloak reaching out to me, a blinding snowstorm, the harsh sound of the wind... then I woke up fevered in the village inn. Sometimes I still dream of a howling arctic wind... I don’t know if that really happened, or what it means...

Still has mother, her kind smile and her knowledge. Still has father, as well, although Fugaku stays distant most days, wallowing in regrets and things that make the air around him terribly cold.
Sasuke is glad, selfishly, for that small mercy.
He could have lived without the ghost drama, though....

He wanted to yell at the Crow who betrayed him, who coldly wiped the floor with him without even breaking a sweat... but who the hell was this Crow sitting in front of him with a homemade fish burger? It was an almost cruel amalgamation of this dangerous stranger, and the Crow he thought he knew...
Crow always made fun of him for being a meddling mother hen, so he was going to meddle until it all made sense. He wouldn’t give up on him—he chose to believe in the Crow who never pushed him away.
[A retelling of the Erebonian arc with original scenes, if Crow/Rean was canon instead of just strongly implied lol. Filled with drama, romance, motorcycles, anachronistic slang, Gunda—I mean Divine Knight battles, and Pops’ special chili sauce.]

Cold Steel retelling but Crow/Rean. Really well written and it doesn't just focus on Crow and Rean. There's a lot with their other relationships too. Also deals with like how being gay would impact Rean as the son of a baron.
