In the precipice of puberty, it’s no wonder that young men and their voices crackle here and there while trying to sense out where they fit in the grand scheme of bass-tones. Yeosang, though, has one of the deepest concoctions of a teenage boy’s vocalization. And San realizes just how immediately the sprouts of fondness peeks, the edges of his—up till then—empty heart churning from just how quickly he wants.
Yeosang talks, and he listens, wearing his heart on his sleeves and wishing up and down on a higher power that his annoying neighbor Wooyoung doesn’t catch on.

And there’s three plates of breakfast pancakes alongside boiled eggs on the kitchen counter. Yeosang assesses San one more time, the gears in his head turning at full speed. Jung Wooyoung, bagging a malewife? More likely than he’d think.
“Thank you, San,” he smiles up at the pretty boy, enjoying how San nods quickly to look away the next minute, possibly to look at Wooyoung this time.
This poor soul, walking into the midst of an ongoing car crash. Pray for him.

Summary
Wooyoung, an elven nature guardian for a stretch of forest by the bay, happens across a beautiful merman basking on the rocks one afternoon and decides immediately that he wants to get to know him. After all, his fairy friend Hongjoong has a merman lover, so relations between mer and landfolk aren’t unheard of, and Wooyoung has never yet met a creature he couldn’t befriend.
However, Wooyoung doesn’t realise that he’s making a potentially fatal error – Yeosang may have a fish tail, but he’s no merman. And getting too close to a siren can be a dangerous game indeed.

Unlucky, in the sense that he has to deal with the new transfer students, even though he’s introverted.
Lucky, in the sense that two of them are extremely attractive.
If only Sunghoon could focus on his love life instead of fearing for his life every day.
“It’s just been getting worse since the transfer students came!” he complains to Jake and throws himself across the table.
“Or is it getting better?” he muses in response, “You’ve also gotten away from a lot more than usual. It's like you're blessed.”
