Summary
The train journey from New York up to Buffalo, into Niagara, it isn’t a long one. But the bustle of it as a circus instead of just one person, is something else altogether. The process of unloading and setting up of for a shorter engagement, and then packing the whole endeavor after a week is a whirlwind. Kit feels like she’s already lived a lifetime in the two weeks since leaving New York. It makes her think of learning a second language. Or, rather - recalling a first language, after a lifetime speaking a second. Shaking the rust off of words and phrases that used to fall naturally from her tongue.

The tentacles of the Kraken surround him, tightening against his throat preventing Stede from ever speaking his name so lovingly again.
But he finds a way, Stede always does.
