Elsa looked up and saw a figure climbing up the nearest street light pole. Her eyes widened when she noticed that he swiped the large yellow bulb with one clawed hand, and just like that, the light went out. Jack jumped down, and within seconds, another light was smashed, and another, until the whole street was pitch black.
Their only light came from the full moon above their heads.
This monster was smart. You couldn't fight what you couldn't see. Elsa could hardly make out anything in front of her. Her entire body was trembling, shaking violently, in fear. She didn't know where he went, after the last light was put out.
"Elsa…" said Marc from a little ways away.
With jerking fingers, Elsa reached for her back pocket. Removing the Bloodstone, she held it up to the level of her face, and outward, to shed light in front of her.
In the eerie red glow from the stone, she made out a form standing before her, and she knew her luck was running out.

Now that they've been given separate bodies, Marc struggles with all it is that gave him the DID to begin with: the PTSD, the dissociation and depersonalization, the panic attacks, the triggers, the trauma, and the flashbacks he can’t switch out of reliving.
Steven struggles to accept the pain and sufferings they have endured, yet remembers nothing of.
Jake struggles to like or appreciate the separation, and hopes Marc and Steven never find out he's still working for Khonshu.
Life's a bitch, but they make it work. Together. For each other.

Summary
Steven usually has the patience of a saint, but when he comes to for the third night in a row to a Coke in his hand and a half-eaten family-size bag of Oreos in front of him, he thinks maybe that patience is going to run thin on one Jake Lockley.
The man is still largely elusive to him and Marc. He’s an arse, for one thing, always snapping at them and insulting them to varying degrees—especially that first time they properly encountered him. That had been a right mess, seeing as that was how they had subsequently learned that Jake was still working for the bloody pigeon.
