An even bigger shock? Shang Qinghua was the only person he follows on Instagram. Not even his co-star, Luo Binghe.
Meanwhile, Mobei Jun's fans have trouble deciphering who, "airplaneshootingtowardsthesky" is.
This also isn't helped when Mobei Jun begins to post cryptid pictures of a mousy man with even more mysterious captions.

“No one… dying…” Leah panted. “There’s a-”
“Did you run all the way here from your cabin?” Elliott interrupted. “You look terrible.”
“Yeah, I needed to tell you as soon as I found out-”
“What, did Lewis finally make his relationship with Marnie public? I hope he knows that their ‘secret’ fling is neither secret nor a fling.”
“Will you-” Leah spat, with an irritated huff. She covered Elliott’s mouth with the hand that wasn’t holding herself up on the doorframe, literally shutting him up. “Shush!” She took another few breaths. Elliott’s mouth quirked into a small grin. He quelled his immediate desire to guess something else and let her get the words out.
“There’s a new farmer living on Old Man Allen’s property!” Leah blurted out, her voice a fast continuous stream that was punctuated by a stupid grin. “And he’s hooooooot!”

Summary
Mobei-jun has long mastered the act of refining information from Shang Qinghua’s rambles. It is a necessity, as Shang Qinghua talks a lot.
He obfuscates, distracts, and deflects. He cries when he wants to divert attention. He mumbles under his breath when he’s thinking. He blurts unnecessary information as a way of barraging his enemies. In short, Shang Qinghua uses his words similarly to how a demon might use their powers, as a tool or a weapon, depending on the situation. The times where Shang Qinghua talks the most, however, is when he thinks he’s alone.
When Shang Qinghua is doing paperwork, when he's tucked inside the privacy of his Leisure House, is when Shang Qinghua forgets himself enough that he drops his cowardly veneer. Then the snivelling, grovelling little cultivator is no more—and Shang Qinghua curses everyone and everything under the sun as if no one is listening.
Mobei-jun is always listening.
