To get away from Dream. He bites the inside of his cheek. He can’t be a fool. If the dickhead wants him, he can take him whenever he wants. Tommy knows the man’s skill - he could cut Phil down in a flash and make away with his prey, even through this crowd.
The thought of Dream doing that sends nauseating chills down Tommy’s body, but the fact that he hasn’t is at least temporary assurance that he won’t. The bastard is not here for an assassination, or he wouldn’t be bothering with these games and threats and subterfuge. No - clearly, he doesn’t want a mess. He must still be on the run.
He wants Tommy to come willingly.
Dream is here to play chess, and from all the confidence he’s displaying, he’s sure that he’ll make the perfect checkmate.
Or, Tommy is attached to his new life, but can he keep his white blossoms when the prick from his nightmares comes back to threaten everyone he loves?

No one understands the magic of this world enough to explain how the vines and flowers grow, but a few things are now understood about them.
Blossoms mean you love and are loved.
There are many kinds of flowers, all supposedly carrying deep recognizable meaning. They spring from the ground and sprout from people’s bodies in relation, apparently, to the love springing up inside.
All over town, people walk around with crowns and corsages of blossoms, displaying openly the riches of love they possess in their daily lives. Many others cover themselves with hats, scarves - whatever they can to protect a certain privacy for their emotions.
Tommy wears no such coverings, but he wears no blossoms either. When he sees the flowers so many people adorn, each with their own unique and precious meaning, it all means the same to him - something he’s never had.

In an AU where everyone has a soulmate, what happens when your soulmate dies? Or, Dream wants to die and Technoblade wants to stop him. Inspired by a soulmates/gladiators/outlaws AU fanfic! :)
Started as me wanting to write a few divergent endings for one scenario, ended up as a longer fic where outlaw!Dream and outlaw!Technoblade travel and have adventures. Hannahxxrose and Ponk are there, and versions of various other DSMP characters will show up.
It's all platonic relationships except Quackity/Schlatt much later in the story because *angst.*
Trigger warnings are on chapters as needed.

The royal family doesn’t need to be close, however, it only needs to be balanced, like the pillars holding the country above their heads – as long as they are strong and steady, the Empire will be too. It’s the principle that held Tommy’s back straight and his shoulders broad through the years of hardships and trials of errors; through yet another formal meeting where his father’s gaze would look past him and where his brother’s words would be filled with poison that makes the deepest parts of his soul ache.
At that time, Tommy couldn't know that his family would find a replacement for him in the face of a commoner boy named Ranboo.

Because of an arson stunt that's the last in a long line of issues, Tommy Watson is sent off to a boarding school. His father, Phil, didn't really want to do it. But with the way Tommy had been acting, he didn't really see another option. He couldn't get through to the kid, and at this rate, he would end up at a juvenile detention center. Lord knows that was a terrible place to be, his oldest Technoblade could attest to that. Phil didn't want to make the same mistakes with his youngest that he did with his oldest. Maybe this time would be different. If he sent Tommy away, maybe Tommy would learn his lesson and wouldn't have to learn the hard way like his brother. They sent Tommy away to the school for seven months, and when he came back… he wasn't the same.
Tommy comes back from boarding school... different. With dreams about a green looming figure and a that stupid fucking mask. His family doesn't get it, and he doesn't expect them to. But Phil, Wilbur and Techno will be damned if they don't get to the bottom of this

“I don’t believe you for a second,” the villager said with a scoff. “Reviving the dead? You, a god? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve heard in all my years.”
“Oh? You don’t believe me?” Dream smiled. “That’s okay, I’m more than willing to give you all a demonstration. Tommy,” he called, gesturing to the blond.
Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.
Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.
