Gansey handed off one of the lime green plastic rackets to Ronan, “You play. Since you’re our resident tennis player, and all.”
Adam blinked at him, momentarily confused, before remembering that Ronan used to go to tennis practice twice a week, every week. He used to play competitively. And then his dad died, and he’d stopped going to classes at all, and tennis practice apparently constituted a class.
Ronan took the racket like it was venomous, rolling over and over in his hand, testing the weight, “This isn’t tennis. This is like if a tennis ball fucked a a beanpole and they got up the duff.”
Adam raised his eyebrows, “Very visual, Lynch.”
Ronan sneered at him, “Come on, then, big guy. I challenge you to a swingball contest.”

Summary
Shiro tries to relearn himself and save his other self at the same time. Keith can't leave Shiro alone ever again, but he also needs to figure out what the hell is going on with Lance, and never mind his own demons. Lance seeks out ways to be useful, but distances himself from his friends (his family) in the process, and neither Keith nor Shiro can leave that be.
In other words, the three most hurting members of Voltron finally acknowledge their wounds and try to actually talk their way into healing.

Summary
The darkness of space and loneliness, are things that Keith is familiar with. The expanse and coldness of space and the warmth of family is what Lance is familiar with. It's a tough job, being paladins in an 10,000 year old space war without much hope of home.
But hey, for every dark time there are a thousand light. Which is why the stars shine so bright. This is a journey, of Lance and Keith as they too figure out, why the stars (and each other) glow.

Summary

Maybe, Lance reflected, it's because if there’s one thing we have in common, it's a protective streak a Castleship wide. So, when Lance calls Keith after Shiro explodes at him, the two of them turn to face a world full of lion shifts, trauma, tenuous alliances, old demons, new weapons, and a voyage that will forever change them, their families, and the face of the universe. The magnetic pull between red and blue should never be underestimated.
