“Hey–” He blinks, affront already coloring his voice.
“You weren’t gonna offer,” Egg says simply, tone matter-of-fact. Like he’s pointing out the weather, then nestles the bud in his ear.

If he's really alive—living in Mane's footsteps like he wanted to when he keeps biting his tongue when he should be bearing his teeth. (And in a sense, Wemmbu's not wrong, emotion is a weakness when wielded like a blade, Mane warns him of that all the time)

Flame remembers it in clear detail — violet hair matted with red and panicked eyes, ghost of a breath leaving parted lips before he was forced to flee, leaving Wemmbu fading in the distance. A fighter turned husk in the moments it takes for dandelion seeds to get blown into the spring breeze.

“You want to fight, Ferre?” Clown does begin to raise his voice then. With that, Ferre knows he’s got him.

Wemmbu pondered. If the impostor knew his identity and was thinking what he thought they were, the impostor would target people known in the server to interact with him the most. Egg, Boosfer, Jaden… Maybe Minutetech if they followed the right rumours. The impostor would pose as him, visit them and do something bad in his name.
Minute and Egg were checked off the list. Minute wasn’t that stupid and Egg must have told him already. Boosfer was dealt with. Jaden could wait—The Great Sea was millions of blocks out.
Wemmbu was certain he missed someone out from his imaginary list. Then it clicked. He groaned, burying his face in his palms.
