Summary
This is an AU where Winry actually shot Scar because Ed was unable to intervene. It basically deals with the ramifications this has on all the characters but it also focuses a lot on the fact Winry did something that went against her very identity and her attempts to understand this man now that she has made it so she's unable to talk to him.
This is multi-chapter and the depiction of Scar's death is somewhat violent and very emotionally charged....and there's more blood later on too.
I really like Scar as a character, but I saw a fic I felt handled this idea improperly, which is why I felt motivated to write this. I'm going to attempt to be as respectful of his character as I can and well...I hope to impart that the world is going to be much, much worse off with the loss of this man.
