Summary
It is, ultimately, the heat below her skin that pushes Mihawk towards her decision, in the end, the choice to test the water and see what comes of that rather than taking care of it herself or turning to Perona.
“Hey,” Roronoa says, low, “if you’re not about to fuck me, get your hand the hell out of my hair.”

Summary
There was no sound of waves in Kuraigana island, no cawing of birds; there were no joyful children and bellowing street vendors, no laughter booming through the scarred fields. Nothing shook the impenetrable quiet of this land save for this: the swords and the grunts and Mihawk’s sand clock counting away the seconds, one by one.

Summary
An ill-fated parent teacher conference reunites Jin Ling's wayward uncle with Sizhui's father. AKA: A matchmaking disaster as told by Jin Ling, Sizhui, and Jingyi.
Jin Ling knows he’s in deep trouble even before reporting to Headmaster Lan’s office, but the words “your uncle will be here soon” still strike the fear of God in him. His only consolation is that Jingyi and Sizhui’s guardians are also in the office, Jingyi’s mom already lecturing her sheepish-looking son. Lan-ayi only stops when Sizhui’s father, a quiet and tall man in white, clears his throat, causing her to engage him in one-sided smalltalk.
This is a disaster. Jin Ling had spent such a nice break at home for Mid-Autumn Festival, and Fairy’s presence had soothed his homesickness after returning to boarding school in Gusu. He knows pets aren’t allowed, but who is going to report Jin Ling when his father pays good money for a private suite in the dorms? Then there was the incident with Jingyi, a box of mooncakes, and a door left ajar. Long story short, he spent an hour chasing Fairy down the halls with Sizhui and Jingyi before finding his dog nosing up to a very angry Headmaster Lan.

Summary
"To make the choice a father should make if he wishes to be named a father, if he wishes to retain the title, to say yes, if I had the choice, then I would choose to not be homosexual if it means my son Elros would be alive today, it would require that I declare Fingon never deserved his place in my heart. That I stand with my back to the sea and sink our very lives as nothing but a shipwrecked fantasy. It should be so easy. A father must forever put his children first, before all. You know this, Elrond. But we were five years old when we met, Finnu and I. How can I cast those children from my heart?”
_____________
One night on the cliff-house porch, Comrade Maedhros tells Elrond where exactly fatherhood lay upon his list of regrets, and what exactly he meant when he told Professor Gil-galad that he "was not a gay, but a Communist".Series

Summary
Darnell nodded, glancing over Robby like he was trying to place him in the hierarchy of important to ignorable and it could go either way. "What's this?"
"MSF FNG," Jack shot back. Whatever that meant, he sounded amused.
Darnell scoffed and looked to Robby, expression going decidedly unimpressed. "Oh, yeah? You here to find yourself? Have an adventure? Do something hard?" he asked, each question more mocking than the last.
And there was that question again, like it was haunting Robby. He stifled his instinct to bite back and kept it simple: "I'm here to help."

Summary
“My dear Mr. Baggins, you cannot possibly imagine I have brought you across the boundaries of the sundered world, bending every law of gods and men, over land and over sea and through the fathomless heights, for your health? Well, I did, of course I did, and I’d do it again. But it was not for your own good only that I brought you here. I have been on this world a very long time, Mr. Baggins, and if there is one thing that I have learned about the Wise and the Great, it’s that they benefit from the company of hobbits, and it’s the wisest and greatest who have most need of them.”

Summary
“Jack,” she answered, nodding toward the window in Robby’s view. “He’s one of the most in-demand Doms here.”
Robby turned his full attention back to the room, shaking his head minutely at a creeping awareness as he took another look at the Dom’s build, his salt-and-pepper curls. The freckles dotting his fair skin. It wasn’t possible—
Then the Dom shifted his position, and Robby let out a shocked noise that attracted the attention of the others in his vicinity. The Dom in the play room—with his perfect composure and steady command—was Jack.

Summary
Somewhere inside him, he assumed, was the man he had been once, the young man who had known how to be himself, who had known who he was so strongly that he had been prepared to fight the world for it, who was told his job was to heal the world and who had believed it was ever possible to do so without breaking in turn, but the years had broken that piece by piece and he had reassembled the pieces, patching them with love and connection and belief in others and when those pieces fell, so too did the edifice they made, the mosaic neshama, and these were all too complicated to say, too hard to name, so he just said “I used to laugh.”
Or, Robby takes a week off. Somehow, the world doesn't end.

Summary
He focuses on Robby, ignoring the slides behind him. Noting the gentle product he ran through his hair this morning, dabbed lightly on the tips of his fingers and guided through bed-fluffy strands. Appreciating the apples of his cheeks and the light flush that fades into his beard, the way his lips curl around certain words and his tongue darts out to dampen them.
Occasionally, Robby’s eyes will meet his own. Holding on for a syllable or two before fluttering off to another audience member, always engaging, always welcoming someone in.
For fifteen minutes Robby speaks, for fifteen minutes Jack holds tight on to shore.

“Why are you the way you are?” Law asks, gesturing to Zoro and Luffy in their entirety. “You look pathetic.”
“Luffy fell in,” Zoro shrugs. Law thinks he may be the only person in the world who can convey both “Luffy fell in, he’s such a fucking idiot” and “Luffy fell in, what else was I supposed to do but follow?” in one line.
“I’m very sorry.” Luffy reaches up and pats Zoro on the chest.
“You’re a terrible liar.”
Luffy wheezes a short laugh. “I like swimming with Zoro.”
“Shut up, you little shit.”
“How about you both shut up and let me work,” Law grouses.

Summary
He feels like he's issuing a challenge.
Zoro is quiet for a moment. His eye, dark grey and easy to get a little more than lost in, meets Law’s. He can see the exact moment Zoro accepts that challenge by the way his lower eyelid squints up infinitesimally. “Sure,” he says, and Law is left floundering.

Summary
“You wanna let me go,” Zoro says, still vibrating with adrenaline and nerves. Flirting with him was like this since the beginning: bruising and playfully combative. Law loves that about him though he’s never said it outright. Zoro smiles — three smiles now, that’s practically a winning streak — and Law presses him a little harder up against the door.
“Do I?”
“I might take your fucking arms off.”
“I’ll take yours first,” Law says, assured.
They’re close enough that he feels the ripple of anticipation that runs through Zoro, along his spine, all the way down through his legs.

After Luffy departs for Whole Cake Island, Zoro and Law find ways to cope.
