Summary
Before him is the familiar interior of one of Yumenosaki Academy's performance halls, the rows upon rows of seats filled with a faceless, vapid audience beyond the glare of the stage lights. Right at the edge of his vision stands Nazuna, positioned centre stage like a prized ornamental doll in a glass case, and a swift glance further reveals Mika to the side, half-cloaked in shadow.
It is impossible. He should not be back here, he doesn't want to be back here, and yet equally, the performance comes to him as naturally as breathing, a warm nostalgia filling the air like poison.
Shu has a nightmare about his past, and Mika's future.

Summary
The point was that Mika carried a photo of his Oshi-san everywhere, and really didn't think it was all that weird.
That didn't mean he was any less surprised by this.
"Well?" Shu huffed quietly, eyes pointedly staring at the item he had just handed Mika and occasionally flicking up to his face. "Don't just stare at it. You must have something to say."
Mika keeps a photo of Shu on him at all times, and Shu decides that it is only fair to return the favour.

Summary
Shu, who was fully aware of how taxing the long haul flight could be, took him by the elbow and steered him to the taxi stand with a gentleness Mika had just about managed to get used to, by now. "Once we get home." He promised right by his ear to combat the airport's noise, sparking a warm candle in Mika's chest.
Mika hadn't asked for maintenance yet, but he didn't need to. He had started with that request when they were reunited enough times for Shu to notice the pattern, attentive as he was.
Maintenance is an old routine, but even old routines can change and evolve.

“Be more careful, Kagehira,” Shu said. He readjusted Mademoiselle on his lap. She was dressed warm enough for the weather, but Shu planned out making a new coat for her while on this little vacation. After all, Shu didn’t really have any motive to be visiting Mika’s parents. He was just along for the ride. “Imagine if you had been by yourself. You could have slept right through your stop.”
“Well, that’s why yer here! So I don’t get in trouble like that!” Mika glanced out the window. “There’s nothin’ really out here except trees and stuff. ‘S like that at home, too. My home, not ours.”

A new customer walks into the Blend+ Café. Despite the young man's increasing eccentricity, Shu (much to his own frustration) finds him incredibly, painfully charming.

"Mm…ya know, Oshi-san…” Mika’s voice was a paper-thin whisper that Shu had to lean in so close to hear, he could feel the weak, shallow breath tickling his ear. “I liked it when ya called me Mika.”
"...Mika," Shu repeated, and a smile flitted across Mika's face.
"Your voice is so pretty when ya say it."

After graduating, Mika plans to join Shu in Paris, but before he can, he is hospitalized with a major illness. Shu returns to Japan to be at his side, struggling all the while with his fears for the future and his feelings for Mika.
