Summary
When Metatron breaks free of the library, Castiel’s grace in hand, and disappears, Castiel is left human-- and angry. Angrier than he’ll admit until, late at night, Dean coaxes it out of him: Castiel is pissed and he wants revenge. He wants it enough to pursue Metatron, reckless and without a plan, across the Atlantic with Dean at his side, knowing how badly he wants Dean and how likely it is that one or both of them will die along the way.
Their search takes them all across the world, from London to Omsk to Tokyo and between. Far from home with no one but each other, Castiel’s grace missing and the Mark still on Dean’s arm, Dean and Castiel find the flimsy barriers between the two of them dissolving. (Canon-divergent from 10.18.)

“We should fuck,” Dean says.
Cas looks up from where he sits on his bed, hair still damp from the shower, frowning as he places a finger on the page of his book to mark where he left off.
There are a million things Cas could say here; Dean has rehearsed them. After lunch, his restlessness had given way to a vague panic, a dread that matched his every step and crept along with him from room to room. Eventually, he had returned to his bedroom and spent the rest of the afternoon pacing back and forth, playing out all the possible scenarios. When Cas asks him Why? or Are you being serious? or when he sighs and says, in that way he has, Dean, he knows exactly what he’s going to do. He’s going to shrug casually, like he isn’t invested in the answer, like he isn’t desperate for an outlet, and say, Why not? He’s going to raise an eyebrow and say, What, are you not interested? He’s going to crowd into Cas’ personal space, he’s going to shove himself right up in there and whisper Cas against his ear.
Instead, Cas says, carefully, “Okay.”

pre-cecil/carlos, cecil is in a really unhealthy relationship with someone that's emotionally and physically (and sexually too if you want) abusive. eventually it ends, and cecil starts dating carlos.
but his previous boyfriend gave him a really screwed up idea of what relationships are like. so he acts really jumpy around carlos, expects punishment, etc.

Summary
Set just after Episode 3 ("Station Management"). Written for H/C bingo on Dreamwidth, prompt "telepathic trauma".
Cecil doesn't quite make it to the door in time to escape Station Management. For reasons of their own, they let him live, but the radio host is still left wounded, shaken, and hurt, trapped in a nightmare of torture as punishment for asking for letters.
Carlos, who realized weeks ago that he has the survival instinct of a lemming, comes running to his rescue, and lends Cecil a shoulder to lean on and a floor to sleep on for the night. A lot goes unsaid after Cecil wakes up, because neither one of them is good at finding the right words when face-to-face. But Carlos finds himself with a lot to think about, and Cecil winds up thanking Carlos the only way he knows how.
