Alice hasn’t said a word since they’d pulled her out of the trial. Not that Agatha can really blame her. Dying, she’s been told, is particularly unpleasant. Revival is even worse. Poor thing’s probably earned the right to a little bit of catatonia.
Although that statement isn’t entirely accurate. Alice had actually tried to stutter out about two words- right after she’d woken up, panicked, and decked Agatha right in the goddamn jaw.

Alice is back from the dead, and she’s…in complete and total shock. Meanwhile Teen is losing it, Jen is constantly astounded, Agatha’s having feelings, and Rio…
Well, Rio, of course, is having the time of her goddamn life.

A beat, before Rio’s brow furrows and she opens her eyes, a look of abject disgust on her face. “Why would I, the all-powerful, the reaper of souls, ask for a silly little wish from the Witches’ Road?”
Agatha just looks at her.
“Okay, fine, but I’m not telling you.” Death pouts, Agatha has learned. It’s truly the silliest thing.

“You made it!” he says, even though he had been pestering her for days over text to show up and she had agreed, multiple times. “Good, good. Alice is running late but everyone else is here. Well, Eddie’s not here yet because he’s at work, but it’s okay because then I can call him on the drive over and warn him-”
“Breathe, Teen. The party will not start any faster if you break the sound barrier with your vocal vomit.”

“You're late,” Agatha manages to quip, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
“A lady is never late,” Rio retorts, kneeling beside the fallen witch. Her eyes rake over Agatha's form, taking in the severity of the wound. “Looks like you've had quite the night, sweetheart.”
Agatha tries to laugh, but it comes out as a pained cough. “What can I say? I like to live dangerously.”
“Clearly,” Rio murmurs, her cool fingers brushing against Agatha's cheek. Agatha jolts quickly before listing back and slightly leaning into Rio’s hand. Goddamn, she was woozy.
Rio can sense when Agatha is anywhere near death (the physical kind). Featuring Agatha flirting with both her mortality and Death.

Also, Steve may or may not be in love with Natasha.

“I resent being compared to Peggy Carter,” Nat tells their therapist. “Yes, Steve— I assassinated a few people and committed every war crime in the book. That doesn’t make me a bad person.”
Steve knows this is all scripted, but he finds himself getting angry for no logical reason.
“I don’t think you’re a bad person.” His voice rises. “If I did, I wouldn’t be dating you. This isn’t about Peggy."
“It’s always about Peggy.” Nat flips her gaze to the therapist. “He says her name in bed sometimes."
Steve’s hands clench into fists. She’s going off script, damn it, and now he has to go off script, too.
“Nat cheated on me with Tony and Thor,” he improvises. “That’s what she was doing while I was checking my pal Bucky into a rehabilitation clinic. She's emotionally distant.”
“Once again, Mr. Rogers.” The therapist sounds tired. “Let's try our best to keep this constructive.”

“Yeah. Told him we were taking a long weekend.” Phil liked to know where the hell they were. Since he had to answer to governments for them and they got up to major shit, Clint thought it sounded kind of reasonable. Nat didn't.
“We won't have to call, then.” She gestured. “He knows we're in Budapest, and three blocks go up in flames? After what they'll call a terrorist attack at the Opera? He'll be here by morning to rescue us, so he doesn't have to fill out the paperwork. All we really have to do is stay alive until he gets here and finds us.”

The number trips off the tongue. The methods vary, the numbers, and they all trip off the tongue easily—what is twenty dead villains? A hundred? A good day's work. We're the heroes, after all.
