As I began to write my very first omegaverse fic, I realized that I needed to make a lot of decisions as part of the worldbuilding. And then I realized that I'd need to aim for at least a little more than usual scientific reality, since I primarily write in The Pitt fandom. So, because I am a little too Extra, I decided to post my research and decision-making around my version of omegaverse, aka, Earth 2.
This is meant to be a comprehensive resource for considering different aspects of omegaverse, including biological, medical, social, legal, and psychological aspects. Where did the alpha/omega dynamics come from? How does gender fit in? What are the past and future implications for a society with fully different sexual dimorphism than what we're used to?
My plan for this resource is to continue updating it as I find new information and maybe adjust my initial approach. I will clearly mark when something gets updated on a page.
