“The name is Boris, by the way,” Boris grinned, taking one of the cigarettes out of the pack. “And you are?”
“Will,” he replied. Boris nodded his head, placing the cigarette in between Will’s lips.
Will froze. He wasn’t expecting that. And he certainly wasn’t expecting Boris to be looking at him so intimately, his dark eyes scanning over. Perhaps he was just being friendly to someone in need.
“Will. Short for William, no?” Boris looks down at his lips and then back up. Will felt like his soul was being stared into, his cheeks beginning to burn up.
“Yeah but,” Will mumbled around the cigarette in his mouth, watching Boris pull out a lighter from his pocket. “No one calls me William. It’s a stupid name.”
Boris lit Will’s cigarette. “What? I think William is a beautiful name.”

Will isn't expecting anything when he moves to California, even less when near all of his friends lose contact with him quick. Then he meets a boy that looks like the friend that he left back in Hawkins and knows that its a bad idea to be anywhere near him. But even bad ideas were better than being apart once he had spoken to the other even once.
Boris moves to Lenora in the months after Theo leaves for New York, and starts high school at Lenora Hills High. There, he meets one Will Byers, and both their worlds change for good.

Dazai laughs, cold and hollow. “Oh? Too much for you to handle? Are you finally disillusioned with me? Have you finally given up trying to fix what will alway be broken?” He gives his door a half-hearted kick. This is it, this is the moment where he pushes Kunikida away for good.

“Dazai,” Kunikida says.
It’ll be better if you do. “What?”

Dazai has been pondering his changes in his personality and what having a more beautiful world really means since he left the port mafia all those years go. He's a man who is always destined to be alone since anything he wants to hold dear to him always ends up leaving him. That doesn't stop him from repeating his mistake however. Enter Kunikida Doppo, hard-core idealist and the main subject of Dazai's torment. A new mission involving an old college classmate of Kunikida's causes both of them to want more than what they are getting out of the partnership but both are afraid of what that means. Dazai has spent years building his walls and Kunikida never takes risks without proper calculations. Can they resolve their feelings and solve the case, or will what took two years to build come crashing down?

Let it be said that Atsushi wasn't in any way stupid.
On the contrary he considered himself to be quite smart. While he was no match for Dazai or Ranpo, neither was anyone else, so that really didn't say so much about his intelligence. Each of the detectives at the ADA had their own methods for conducting an investigation, Atsushi mostly just went along with whoever he was with or trusted his own instincts. Call it tiger intuition if you will.
But one of his skills that Astushi prided himself in was his observation. His tiger senses only enhanced this. Atsushi didn't miss things.
So, understandably, he was absolutely kicking himself right now.

“I know!!!” Kel laughs. It’s true. They both know that Sunny hates phone calls. “I’ll just be a minute, I swear. I’m just too hyped to type, y’know? And I guess I kinda wanted to hear your voice.”
Sunny quirks an eyebrow.
“Pfff. Okay, but you know what I mean, though.”
Sunny tilts his head, conceding the point.
“And it’s been like, a million years!!!!”
The obvious lie finally pries Sunny’s mouth open. “...Three weeks.”

Kel wants to kiss Sunny. Like, he REALLY wants to kiss him. But of course, he doesn't want to risk ruining their friendship, uncertain if his friend feels the same way. So when Aubrey and Basil tell him about an apparent loophole that would allow him to kiss Sunny while still preserving their friendship, Kel immediately latches onto it.
Sunny had been having a good day, all things considered. Kel suddenly running up to him with an eager glint in his eyes wasn't anything new to him, but everything that followed DEFINITELY was. And now Sunny is left reeling from the fallout, wondering if maybe his feelings aren't as unrequited as he had previously thought.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gang are watching this train-wreck play out like a Shakespearean comedy with buckets of popcorn.
(Or, Kel kisses Sunny on the lips after screaming "no homo" in his face, Sunny has several mental breakdowns, Aubrey is tired of her friends' shit, Hero is the lone voice of reason, and Basil really wants a peach tree.)
