“Interesting,” Carlos mutters to himself as he watches the ooze melt into liquid, turn dark red in hue, and produce an odor like that of pennies. He has never muttered the word “interesting” to himself as much as he does nowadays, in his daily labor to unravel the intricate knot of Night Vale. But it is a fitting word: Night Vale’s phenomena pique his interest, are worth being considered and understood completely. If he studies each grain of sand to completion, one day, he can say he knows the beach.

Clark calls it ‘teambuilding.’ Bruce calls it a ‘waste of time.’
Bruce is expecting ‘Most people saved’, ‘Most popular hero’, ‘Best costume design’, etcetera, etcetera, other standard-type awards, official sounding ones with corresponding gilded trophies, the kind handed over after large disasters requiring large amounts of aid. He reclines in his chair, fully expecting to be disappointed.
Which is why Bruce is not expecting the words, ‘Best Thirst-trapper’ to show up on the screen.
The Justice League holds a mock-awards night. As expected, everyone goes insane about it.

Conrad is just your average Crime Alley street-rat.
Ignore how most of his extended family actively Hench for various Rogues, he went no-contact years ago.
Ignore his unreal fighting ability and expansive range of random skills, it's the bare minimum of what anyone would need to make it to 20 while homeless in Crime Alley.
Ignore the Red Hood's attempts at flirting with him, he's pretty sure he's just misinterpreting his overboss' perfectly platonic actions.
Ignore the people who say he comes back from the dead, no one around here knows how to check for a pulse.
Ignore the Bats, he's certainly trying to. Whatever they're after, it's certainly not him.
He's just a completely normal Crime Alley kid, after all.

No matter. Anyways, this new relationship fills his life with a lot more death, and some… "practice and exposure". At least he'll have something to talk about when he gets asked questions very much not for a fourteen year old teen at the next Justice League meeting? Maybe?
He's not sure how much of this he should actually tell people, now that he thinks about it…
