He was assigned with the task to produce a light show for the newcomers, a small group of creatures that had seeked refuge on their planet. They looked different from Chan’s own people, their skin was all dull colors and green tones, their antennae longer and curled at the end, no sign of the spark that loomed over Chan’s and his people.

Summary
A deserted land, rocky hills extending as far as his eye can see, no trace of human life, although that’s a rare sight these days.
A boy, a mere silhouette in the vastness of nothingness that is the landscape surrounding him. He places his hands over his eyes and looks at the horizon, trying to spot something, anything. With a sigh, he drops his gaze and retreats to the shaky shelter, the rusty metal scraps clinging together unharmoniously in the hot wind.
Jeongin thinks back about the time scientists announced they were trying to explore the sun.
They hadn’t shared much information, until almost two years after the first announcement. That day all news channels had passed the same message: whoever is able to build a shelter underground in their house should start with the construction for safety reasons. That was the only thing they had said.

Summary

It was only a matter of time before it bit him in the ass, and next thing he knows, he's being held captive by some absolute nutjobs who seem to want his head on a pike—until a university-age boy among them looks at him with wide, sparkling eyes, and... apologizes. And everything starts to change.
Hwang Hyunjin did not choose to be born to a long-standing family of (now illegal) vampire hunters. He does, however, choose to not become the murderer they want him to be. When they bring home the captured leader of a vampire clan, a man they intend to be his first victim, he knows in his heart that he can't do it—so he makes a promise to save that vampire's life, even if it means putting his own at risk.
