Summary
“I don’t want to downplay how traumatic this all is,” Frank says, “but I want you to see the opportunity this situation presents you with. There’s a silver lining here. For the first time in your adult life, your only responsibility is to yourself. Your son is being taken care of. Your family doesn’t need you to provide for them right now. The situation is not ideal by any means, nor is it what you would choose, but it does allow you to stop and reassess. I’ll be here to help you through it, and you have an extensive support network to lean on. They love you, Eddie, and they only want what’s best for you. Use them.”

Summary
He knows he could have called Maddie and she would have been there, though the memory of her disappointment last time stopped him. As for everyone else—even if he weren’t prohibited from talking to them by his lawyer, Buck doubts anyone would have come. The last time they talked was when they ran into each other in the grocery store a week back, and, since Buck is not eager for a repeat of that interaction, he doesn’t even consider calling anyone in to hold his hand for what is, he tells himself, probably just another little blip on his road back to the 118.
He is able to convince himself of this up until the moment Dr. Gutierrez walks into his room and says, “Well, Evan, you just can’t seem to do anything the easy way, can you?”
Because, as it turns out, there is a circumstance under which a tiny clot that doesn’t cause you to vomit blood in front of all of your friends and family is worse than three big ones that do: that circumstance is called ‘being on blood thinners.’

In the midst of the lawsuit, Buck is diagnosed with cancer. Dropping the lawsuit is easy. Finding forgiveness, less so.Series

"The point is I had a reputation and everyone knows about it. But when I'm finally together with you, we're just having boring missionary sex?" Buck whines, echoes of Hen's laughter still ringing in his ears.
"We don't," Eddie smirks teasingly and Buck sucks in a sharp breath, telling his dick to shelve it for later. "Even if we did, that's not anyone's business."
"They think I'm not giving you the Evan Buckley special!" Buck stresses, trying to make the other understand the gravity of the situation.
"Believe me, I am getting the Evan Buckley special."

Summary
They’re at the scene of a five car pile up with mercifully few injuries, all things considered, when a panicked woman decides to yank her car door shut rather than accept Buck’s help out of her vehicle. In the process, she manages to slam the door on Buck’s right index and middle finger, hard enough to fracture both.
The fractures are closed, with no displacement, so Buck gets a splint and relegation to light duty. It’s fine, until he goes to do his T shot and realizes that administering an injection is incompatible with having two splinted fingers on your dominant hand.
So, he does what he always does. He calls Eddie.

When TK receives a call from an old friend offering him a last minute invite to a wedding in Hawaii, he jumps at the chance to finally wrangle his fiancé into a vacation. Unfortunately, TK isn't the only old friend invited.
OR
The fic where we say "why should they have to wait for their honeymoon to go to Hawaii?" Featuring TK Strand and Carlos Reyes being disgustingly in love, some interesting headcanons, some indulgent scenes and Alex finally working out that he probably shouldn't have shacked up with the spin cycle instructor.

Summary
Evan Buckley was born with the singular purpose of saving his older brother. And it works: the cells graft and Daniel's cancer goes into remission. Instead of becoming a grim secret that haunts his family for years to come, Daniel lives.
In some ways, it makes all the difference.
In other ways, it doesn't make any difference at all.

Summary
Eddie is secretly ashamed of most things.
Like dancing alone in the warm sunlit kitchen and the kid-safe makeup Sophia once messily spread on his face. Like knowing there's something he's missing but never truly had in the first place. Like how he walks and talks and always lets his parents down and isn't the best in school but just alright. Like how he doesn't believe in God but thinks he probably should since that's what everyone else does.
Eddie is so ashamed of himself.
Or, Eddie learns how to not be.

It's the same routine, perfected over months, until one day when his door swing open and Eddie walks in.

"You came to my house and I was in a shirt and my underwear," Eddie shrugs.
"It's a babydoll dress," he hisses.
"And you're the prettiest babygirl."
Buck moans.
He can't help it. Not when Eddie's weight is pressing down on him, his eyes staring so intensely, every spoken word sending electric sparks jolting through him.

The credits had just begun to roll when Eddie noticed Buck playing with the hem of his dress, fingers grazing his thigh every couple of seconds, sending sparks through his skin. Eddie turned to face him, finding Buck staring down to where he was fiddling with the fabric.
A shiver went through Eddie as Buck’s fingers grazed his thigh again and Eddie nervously blurted, “What are you doing?”
Buck’s eyes flicked up to meet Eddie’s, looking slightly surprised, like he hadn’t been fully aware of his own actions.
“Nothing, you just– you look really pretty,” his fingers continued toying with the material as he spoke and Eddie felt his cheeks burn.

Summary
At the sound of a struck match, Tim twisted, fixed on the flame. “What?” His eyes followed the movement of Jason lighting his cigarette, and snuffing out the match in the dirt. The Florentine countryside was evidently quite dry, so he dug it in extra hard.
For a while, they watched each other, until Tim sniffed the air and said, “You smoke Marlboros.”
“That’s not in my personnel file?”
“No, it…” he caught himself and shook his head, once, like he didn’t mean to and had to catch himself again. Jason had thrown him, somehow. “It is. Ha.”
“Ha,” Jason repeated back, now thrown, himself. “What else is in there?” Beyond the cliff, a firework exploded in brilliant blues and greens, peacock-colored. It lit Tim’s left cheek and eye in cerulean. He was alien, cut from Kryptonite or something like it, horribly powerful and difficult to look at.
Tim said, “your shit schedule,” and turned back to the sky.(Tim asks Jason to help him work an undercover op in Italy. Things get complicated.)
