Summary
“How do you feel about being called daddy? I think it may be… sort of cathartic for you. For more than one reason.” Viktor’s expression is neutral when Jayce pulls back to stare at him. Perhaps mildly inquisitive, at most.
Jayce, meanwhile, feels as if the floor has just fallen out beneath him. His brain fails to work—it takes several seconds for him to catch up with any of the words that Viktor has said to him. When he clocks back into his body, he does not expect to feel so aroused that he might pass out.
Or: after overhearing schoolyard insults from a colleague, Jayce's old gender-related insecurities rise to the surface. Viktor's solution? Gender-affirming daddy kink.

Jayce returns from a blighted Piltover. Before he can enter Viktor’s commune, he is swept up by a Noxian patrol. From there, he is thrown in with a dubious Doctor, and forced to confront his failings: whether that means by acceptance, or atonement.

The man is infuriatingly brilliant, dryly condescending, and has probably already dismissed Jayce as an overeager idiot. Fine. Jayce can live with that. What he can’t live with is the fact that he keeps seeking Viktor out anyway—asking too many questions, reading too many of his papers, lingering in his presence like some lovesick grad student. This isn’t a crush. It’s an intellectual challenge. At least, that’s what he’s telling himself.

Viktor is leaned forward in his seat, almost too far, he maybe shouldn’t drink the remaining wine in his glass but he needs to act casual so he takes a sip and says, “Tell me.”
“I was a curious kid, and um, once when my uncle was visiting I kind of snuck into the guest room and went through his stuff. He had” Jayce pauses, “magazines. They were pretty um, normal.” He flashes Viktor a smile, “Luckily.”

“Or maybe we drop everything and become farmers in the Demacian countryside. I can tend to the land. You can feed the chickens.” At that, Viktor tilts his head so slightly that Jayce wouldn’t have noticed if he hadn’t been watching Viktor’s reflection so closely. He bites back a grin. “Or maybe sheep. Goats? Cows? But neither of us have done anything like that before… I guess it could be a learning experience for both of us.”
Jayce realizes he made a grave mistake as soon as the landlord opens the coin pouch. But in Jayce’s defense, he has no idea how much renting an abandoned chicken farm costs. Also, he doesn’t really care.
