He swallowed heavily, settling cross-legged in the mud, no care given to his filthy and bedraggled clothes. And Anakin used to make fun of how clean I liked to be, he though sardonically.
“Good news, this is,” Yoda said, nodding his head. “Not affected by the Dark, are they?”
“No Master,” Obi Wan confirmed. “They were as bright as the day they were born.” For all of the six minutes he had been in their presence before... Before.
“And Sidious?” Yoda asked. “No trace of him, can I find in the Force?” Obi Wan swallowed heavily.
“No,” he whispered. “You wouldn’t. Vader killed him four years ago.”

Summary
Things are hazy for Anakin as he recovers from the abrupt end to his marriage to Padmé. While he struggles to keep the days straight, he slowly finds a renewed sense of appreciation for little things he’d never really noticed before. Like occasional calls with his former padawan, the smell of fresh grass or a pleasant breeze blowing across his skin. Maybe he kind of lost himself for awhile as he longed for a different life, but surprisingly not one he ever expected or with who he’d expected. Maybe the title of chosen one no longer held appeal, or weight. Maybe he just didn’t really want to be special anymore. Maybe he just wanted to know what it was like to be normal, to do normal things, to live a normal life. Was that even possible in the middle of a galaxy-wide conflict? If it was, would anybody understand the craving?

Summary
Darth Vader, the strong arm of the Sith, held loyal to his Order since they took he and his mother from slavery in the deserts of Tatooine. Until he became convinced they killed his wife. He abandoned his Order and disappeared in the chaos of the Clone Wars, presumed dead by all sides.
That young Skywalker is known around town as a widower and homesteader; a Nabooian who emigrated to avoid the trade blockade; a father of overly-energetic twins and warding a Togruta war orphan; a decent mechanic if your farm equipment or maintenance droid is acting up.
Anakin is a paranoid, over-protective hot mess doing his best to raise his weird pack the way Padmé would have wanted. How the hell is he supposed to do that when his kids and not-apprentice make him haul a half-dead Jedi Master home like a lost pet?

It didn't really take much to convince the Vode to rebel against the Kaminoans.
And it was only a little more effort for them to organise themselves into a government that would be accepted by the Republic.
Convincing the newly crowned King Cody to take a Jedi spouse was a different story. However, sometimes you needed to bit the blaster fire and invoke centuries old laws to ensure that the Senate won't stab you and the four million warriors you are responsible for in the back.
Poor Obi-Wan Kenobi just so happens to be unfortunate enough to be caught in the crossfire.

A universe where Jango Fett actually takes responsibility for his people and acts like the Mandalorian he should.
