Summary
There is a thin veil between sadism and masochism, life and death, order and chaos, and all of this becomes apparent as Light comes up with his most sadomasochistic plan yet, willingly subjecting himself to illness and an agonizing death to force the hand of the task force and scare them into dropping the case, as well as prove his "innocence."
While L suspects that this is all somehow Light's doing, he finds it harder and harder to watch Light suffer as he gets increasingly ill, even if he wants to help catch Kira with the limited amount of time he has left. L refuses to lose the game, but at the same time finds the idea of losing Light to be equally unpleasant, leading him to search frantically for a loophole or capture Kira before Light dies as collateral damage.

Summary

Luck and love help overcome incredible obstacles and get Peter out of the stickiest situation of his life; all while fighting with the fact that he’s falling for the mercenary with a hit list higher than the number of people the Avengers and Peter have saved combined.

“Hiya, Peter,” Deadpool is standing there in all his red and black glory, sounding deceptively cheerful. All too cheerful, in fact, for a gun resting against one muscular thigh and a hand reaching back to, no doubt, grab a katana. “Peter Parker,” Deadpool continues, saying his name like he wants to bite into it. It’s actually kind of hot. God. Focus, Peter. Is Deadpool seriously going to try to kill him now?
All too late, Peter realizes that Spider-Man never responded to Deadpool’s messages.

When he's blackmailed by, of all people, a weird work acquaintance who needs Spider-Man gone for obviously illegal purposes, Peter is forced to hang up the suit- at least temporarily -until he can resolve the situation. Unfortunately, things start to get sticky when Deadpool, who Spider-Man's been on-again off-again with (okay, yeah, lowkey messing around with), crashes into Peter's life and demands the photographer help him figure out what's got his favorite webhead so spooked.

“Fuck!” The merc yelled, throwing the flashlight against the wall so hard it shattered, sending them back into darkness. “This fucking place has been cleaned out.”
[Do you think they knew we were coming?]
{Someone set us up. Wade…} Wades hands flew up to the comm in his ear, about to press the button to make a call when Tony’s voice sounded over the small speaker, beating him to the punch.
“Deadpool, do you copy?” Wade stilled, his heart plummeting.
“I copy.” He responded, struggling to keep his voice calm.
“You need to come back. Now.” Tony ordered. Wade was moving before the man finished talking, shoving his guns back in their holsters as he pushed door after door aside.
“Care to fill me in?” The merc asked, praying the team had just uncovered a new lead. The genius didn’t respond right away, the silence making Wade’s heart skip a beat as he pushed himself to run faster.
“Stark?” the merc pressed, pushing the hatch open and hoisting himself back out into the frigid air.
“It’s Peter.” The genius finally responded, his voice tense. “The tower was attacked. He’s gone.”

Any resolve he may have had earlier about revealing his superpowered persona had melted away, his plans going awry within seconds. "
Or Peter is madly in love with Wade, and plans to meet him on top of his apartment building to reveal his identity. Wade thinks Peter is standing on the ledge ready to jump, and takes it upon himself to make sure he gets home safe and finds a reason to live again.

Summary
Tony was worried. Or maybe concerned was a better word; to be worried, he would have to know why his stomach was currently a pit of anxiety. Worry would mean that he could try to fix whatever was wrong. As it was, it just felt like the rug was about to be pulled out from under him. It was just a dull ache in the back of his mind that seemed to say oh hey, in a minute, everything you thought you understood will disappear.
It was not a fun feeling.
What made everything so much worse, however, was that this feeling – this aching, scraping fear in his bones – all centred on Peter Parker.
Or: Peter has finally been forced to confront the fact that he's not straight, and his change in mood has unwittingly affected Tony.
