Summary
He’s quiet when no one’s around. When he’s alone in class, he just works silently, doing something in his notebook that doesn’t really look like writing. And Eddie’s curiosity turns from just wanting to know who Steve Harrington is, to who Steve Harrington is and what he draws in his notebook when he’s not taking notes.
Then he notices how pretty his eyes are, and Eddie wants to slam his head in his locker until he collapses on the floor, because this was never supposed to happen. He has fucking butterflies. Christ.

Look, Eddie has had a crush on Steve Harrington for, like, four years. Steve Harrington is the only reason Eddie passed gym last year, because the grade was for participation and Eddie showed up every day that semester to watch Steve Harrington get all sweaty and all that glorious hair flop around. Eddie is but a man. Who is he to pass up another chance to watch Steve get all sweaty, perhaps shirtless this time? And maybe proving to his freshman pupils that Steve Harrington is truly an asshole would be the cherry on top.
Eddie is just here to ogle Steve Harrington and hopefully expose him as an asshole to his impressionable Hellfire freshmen. Things do not go according to plan.

Summary
Soul flowers aren’t a ticket to true love, he knows that well enough, but they do mean importance, significance, permanence. And so far no one has ever loved Steve significantly or permanently enough to leave some. Maybe that means he’s broken. Maybe that’s why he can’t leave any for her.
So Steve lets Jonathan take Nancy home that night, and tries not to feel too bitter about the matching bracelet of roses on Jonathan’s hand.

Eddie Munson survives his first trip into the Upside Down but comes out a little different. A little more bloodthirsty. Literally. But that is ok with Steve. He's just glad the man is alive.
Now Eddie runs the nighttime hours of The Squawk, sharing his deep voice and rambling stories along with tormenting half of Hawkin's with his particular taste in music. ("I'm a tastemaker, Steve! Someone has to educate this poor town!")
With Eddie now officially part of the group and his new powers coming in handy for their crawls, Steve decides he should do everything he can to help him right? For the sake of the group, of course. And not because he's insanely curious about what it would feel like to have Eddie's mouth and teeth on his neck.
Steve learns that it might be a bad idea to offer your blood to a vampire when you're nursing a growing crush on said vampire, who can taste everything about you in your blood.

Summary
The thing about prophetic dreams is that they’re not nearly as cool as they sound. Sure, it’s nice having a bit of forewarning for when shit’s about to go down, but it also gives you, like, twice as much time to stress about it.
If Nancy was the one dreaming they’d probably have the whole thing fixed in a week and then she’d be on track to being the first female president or something. Unfortunately for everyone, they’re stuck with Steve.
He’s dealing with it about as well as can be expected.
(Especially considering he’s juggling his new babysitting duties, the re-emergence of the Upside Down, whatever the fuck’s going on with Billy Hargrove, and his budding bisexual awakening-slash-crisis.)
(Thank god Robin will be there to help. Eventually.)
