Summary
In a world obsessed with killing and dying, Seiko is mostly concerned with chasing off her boredom. The Academy wasn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but dying in the second shinobi war sounded like a long walk off a short pier. Everyone is always so stressed about avoiding attention, or min-maxing skills in situations like this.
Seiko is of the opinion that those people need to chill the hell out. Maybe play a little shogi. Death comes for them all anyways. Better to enjoy this all while it lasts.

I saw a post on tumblr suggesting a crossover where Murderbot meets Sam Vimes, and I couldn't not write it. Behold:
Murderbot, randomly pulled into the metropolis of Ankh-Morpork, must figure out how it got here, how to get home, and what the fuck is going on in general. Meanwhile, Sam Vimes of the city guard is hot on the trail of a suspicious-looking case at Unseen University—or at least he would be if he didn't have the baby at home to worry about...
I love TMB and Discworld so much, so I tried to make this as newbie-friendly as possible. If you're coming for the Discworld, the Murderbot stuff is supposed to be as understandable as possible, and if you don't know Discworld at all but love Murderbot, hopefully it still makes sense.
This is set after Exit Strategy but vaguely before Fugitive Telemetry; on the Discworld side, it's somewhere in between Night Watch and Going Postal.

Rosie is not a Damsel In Distress! She wants that fact made very clear. She has a whole host of skills! That most of them happen to involve... less legal avenues of employment is really not relevant at all, truth be told. Besides, see how well you do, dropped into an entirely different dimension. Rosie thinks she's actually doing pretty well, all things considered.
What she's doing less well at is acting like a functional human being around possibly the most attractive woman who's ever existed, in either world.
Also, they don't call them roadtrips here, they call them quests. So that's Rosie's Big Gay Quest, thank you very much!
