Summary
Harry just wants to have a quiet life and get along with everyone. He wants to be normal, and accepted. Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.

Harry tries hard to be normal, but as canon events approach, hilarity ensues. Set in a massively fleshed-out universe with tons of slow, believable, character development. With the author spoiling us so wonderfully, I wonder how I’ll ever read another fic again.

Similar to this recommendation, this story will change your perspective.
Setting is a blind Harry Potter, caused by the Killing Curse hit, with a form of Mage Sight to make up for it. This is often used in clichéd stories, but this one most certainly does not cater to that particular cliché at all, it’s completely different and original.
The writing is good, long enough to be enjoyable, captivating and well done.

This novel-length story starts before Hogwarts and ends with an epilogue that is nothing like JKR’s. The story is full of life wisdom and takes an interesting angle on almost anything that can be questioned in the HP universe during its timeline, as well as some things from real life – without being dry; rather the contrary, it’s humourous, captivating and addicting, without any major cliffhangers or other frustration.
The story is written in somewhat bad English, with missing words (but no glaring grammar or other errors; the author blames this on tech problems), but still legible good enough, and the content more than makes up for this.

Realistic, believable, breath-taking, involving, intriguing. A must-read, and I have few of those.

Set in the muggle world – less than a year before Harry is set to go for Hogwarts – in an apocalyptic time, Harry is the only one of the people he knows that’s not affected by a spreading illness. Alone, he has to evade different fractions looking for him or survivors in general. Will he make his way to Hogwarts?

Redo-Story with a very interesting approach: Harry goes back, wants to not change the timeline until a certain point, and is steamrolled by a number of events he had never expected in the slightest.
The story is obviously imported into AO3 and could use some cleanup (i.e. drop references to that Y. site/group, drop redundant (up to thrice!) disclaimers; move them and the A/N out of the story body into the header/footer), but is otherwise written well and in good (although not Brit-picked) English.
Characters’ deviance from Canon is logical, thought out and believable. It’s really refreshing to see how a change of the point of view can effect how peoples’ actions (and the people themselves) are perceived.
There appears to be a sequel, and it’s sorted into an AO3 Series, so I expect I’ll have more enjoyful reading experience ☺

All up to and including “Silent Trio 6 : The Coming Storm” are recommended. However, after that, there’s the next story “The Western Sky - Series 1” which suddenly is a very weird crossover with some television series I don’t know, and set totally differently. However, as it starts after a virtual ten year cut, no biggie – just remember to finish reading after “Silent Trio 6” and ignore what follows. (I suspect that what follows is a totally different fic that just builds upon the others for prehistory.)
The relationship is actually “Harry Potter & Sally-Anne Perks” most of the time, not “Harry Potter/Sally-Anne Perks”, which comes only later.”
In general, this author’s style of writing is commendable, after a (very short) time of getting used to it, and I suggest to also check out their other stories.
I ❦ Luna, and she takes a not too small part in this story.

Wer an den einzelnen Geschichten dieser Serie interessiert ist, sollte über starke Nerven verfügen und mindestens 16 in Worten sechzehn Jahre alt sein, da hier Szenen vorkommen, die nach meiner Meinung für jüngere LeserInnen nicht immer verdaulich sind. […] besser nicht veröffentlichen möge […] Ich tue dies trotzdem, weil gerade in der Harry-Potter-Serie der Bände 3 und folgende eine Handlungsebene erreicht wurde, die zeigt, daß das Harry-Potter-Universum keineswegs ein gemütlicher, ja unbeschwerter, gefahrloser Lebensraum, kein Paradies neben der technischen Welt ist und dort auch schlimme Dinge passieren.

Starting after the end of the Tri-Magical Tournier (in HP:GoF), Anthelia, niece of Sardonia, is resurrected after hundreds of years.
This story takes place in the Julius Andrews universe, which is spanned between three interwoven stories, and provides deeper insight into some of the actions and backgrounds of the main story (“Julius Andrews: Auf seinem Weg in die Zaubererwelt”). It is thus a recommended reading, but the author strongly asks for a readership of sixteen (16) years and up.
Focus is on Anthelia, the sœurs (a witch coven with a “night fraction” who are decided to do more than just watch) in Europe and America, as well as Voldemort and Atlantean heirlooms.
Julius Andrews is a central actor in a few chapters, sometimes saving “the world”, sometimes being saved.This story is darker and more mysterious than the other two.

Chapter 22 of the Aurora Dawn story, the smallest of three interwoven stories creating the “Julius Andrews” universe, starts with Aurora Dawn being introduced to her mentor when starting apprenticeship as a Healer in Australia, just after she finished her education at Hogwarts.

This story details how the witch Aurora Dawn, who plays a role in the main story and helps introducing Julius to Hogwarts, grew up. This is the first part of the story. It goes through her Hogwarts years up to the start of her education as a Healer in Australia.
