“No, Jiang Cheng!” Wei Wuxian snapped for the first time. He squeezed Jiang Cheng’s shoulders as tight as he could. “This is exactly what I was worried about - I suggested using the resentful energy because I thought it would work, and it’s working! But I think it's affecting you and the core. You haven't been well ever since the core transfer. I think something is wrong and maybe-”
“It's not the fucking demonic cultivation that's making me sick and it's not your stupid fucking core transfer either!” Jiang Cheng screamed, eyes blazing and mouth twisted into a sneer of sheer anger. “I'm sick because I'm pregnant!”

Jiang Cheng comes down the mountain a day earlier than he was supposed to. While stuck in the Burial Mounds together, Wei Wuxian becomes convinced something is wrong with Jiang Cheng. He's right, just not in the way he expected.
