    “I’m not a demon,” Yin Yu said, throwing Quan Yizhen’s hair over his shoulder again.

    Quan Yizhen was already rushing towards Yin Yu with his fist raised.

    “You can’t be me, I’m me!” he punched at Yin Yu, but Yin Yu easily outmaneuvered him.

    “Yizhen!” Yin Yu tried to explain, but Quan Yizhen, even in Yin Yu’s body, was quick.  He tried to rush Yin Yu again, only for Yin Yu to block his attack with a single move.  “Will you quit!  It’s me!”

    “I’m me!” Quan Yizhen said again with another lunge.

    Yin Yu was getting tired of this, so he hooked his heel around Quan Yizhen’s and tripped him backwards, then he swung a leg over him and used his knees to press Quan Yizhen’s shoulders into the ground.

    Yin Yu and Quan Yizhen switch bodies.

    Mu Qing blinks.

    Feng Xin’s face is still there, right next to Mu Qing, his eyes closed and lips parted slightly.

    Mu Qing blinks a few more times.

    When that doesn’t work, he tries pinching himself.

    Then he shuts his eyes and counts to ten.

    When he opens them, nothing’s changed—Feng Xin is still sleeping there, in Mu Qing’s bed, like it’s the most ordinary thing in the world.

    or, Mu Qing freaks out upon finding Feng Xin in his bed.

    Ling Wen sighs and shakes her head, something like frustration and melancholy in the gesture, in her eyes. “I cannot speak for either of you, but you can speak to each other. Properly, Pei Ming. Your battle strategy is terrible in this case, you know? Advance, retreat, advance, retreat. Never landing a real blow...” She trails off, heaving yet another sigh before continuing: “But he's just as bad as you. Just a tide that comes and goes, comes and goes. All that occurs is erosion.” She looks at him, then, really looks at him. “You'll wear yourselves out before you accomplish anything with each other, at this rate. You've been at this for a long, long time, Pei Ming. Don't you think it's time that the two of you were fully honest with each other?”

    In which Shi Wudu speaks a truth and Pei Ming struggles to make proper sense of it.
