A perfect opportunity is presenting itself quite literally at Rinne’s doorstep in the form of Niki Shiina. He takes in the sight of the young teen in front of his apartment, of narrow shoulders clad in black against the grayish sky behind him, of the dimming light of the quickly setting sun reflected on the snowy cityscape. And, as he does so, he feels a deep unease.
