It felt like his heart was going to burst from the fondness that he felt building up inside him. Slowly, he leaned in closer to Dan's face. How lucky he was that he got to wake up every morning to this. A quiet stillness engulfing the room, sunlight peaking through the curtains as his heart, his whole world, lay peacefully beside him, dozing off without a care in the world.
Phil wakes up early at the crack of dawn to see Dan sleeping peacefully beside him. Overwhelmed with emotion, he looks back on the life they've shared together and marvels at how much Dan has grown whilst admiring his sleeping figure.
