People aren't puzzle pieces, there's never going to be this perfect fit for you, or anyone else. But that's fine because you know what? That's not what love is. Love is a commitment to caring and understanding someone, not just even when, but rather especially when it's hard. You don't get to choose who you fall in love with, but you do choose if you're going to stay with them. And when that love fades, you choose that you want to stick by them. So, it's fine to not be a puzzle piece, or some broken plate looking for its other half. Love was never about any of that stuff anyways.
In world of soulmates, love wasn't a guarantee. Hypnos learns the hard way. But that didn't mean there won't ever be any love, it was just not where you thought to look for it. Hypnos learns that part too.
