The ghost's figure became clearer, but no easier to look at in the darkness of the night. Its form was shimmering and smoky, producing waves of heat that made any sort of clear image impossible to discern from the rest. Somehow, Jimmy couldn't look away. Two glowing red eyes, the only real feature the ghost had, held his terrified gaze, and, despite the overwhelming heat, Jimmy felt himself break into a cold sweat.
He silently prayed that Grian and the others had hidden themselves better than he did. The smudge stick had cloaked their retreat, but it had burned out while he was still out in the open.
The ghost stepped closer.
Jimmy squeezed his eyes shut, preparing for the worst.
"I want you to help me find the person who killed me."

Summary
A spot in Grian's base appears that contains a peculiar substance that spreads to the blocks around it under certain circumstances; Grian is intrigued, but doesn't know what the material is, and mostly leaves it be. However, he starts to take to this spot as a hideout to remind himself of his promise to himself not to be the catalyst of a rebellion once again, and takes solace in this little spot, finding some weird semblance of comfort in the place amidst the stresses and fighting against his second nature when the King starts issuing ridiculous decrees and taking actions that cause a rebellious ache in Grian's chest.
Then, he begins to itch.

The blonde took a deep breath, a new spark of life in his dull blue eyes. He looked back over the tower, spotting some water. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, taking one more deep breath, and jumped.
Another blonde stood at the base of the tower. His eyes widened as the exiled blonde jumped. He soon realized the other wasn't going to reach the water. As the other drew close, the mercenary tackled Tommy towards the water. Below them, the water seemed to change to a bright purple as the two teenagers fell through.
