Harry’s died before. He died and came back in a toxic cycle of resurrection that would drive a lesser man mad. For him it’s a part of his consequences and the price he had to pay to kill Voldemort. So when he died after finally graduating from the Auror Academy he didn’t think it would be a big deal, then he woke up and the house smelled different. A long dead man was seated in the chair watching him, and the face he saw in the mirror was the one he wore at 15.
Maybe he’s finally officially lost it.
Either drooling on himself in Mungos, living his best nightmare in Hell, or actually given a second chance Harry wants to live in the moment and enjoy being with the people he’s loved most, and maybe this time he can save them.

Hayden stops, so Shane does too.

Shane looks at him blankly, and then Hayden laughs. Not like, a chuckle. He full on cackles, bending over like he can’t even contain it. “Man, he’s like prolific.”
“At what?” Shane snaps, because he’s getting really sick of not being in on the joke.
“He’s a porn star, man.”
“A-” Shane says, swallowing thickly. “What?”

Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.
In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.

All the better to see Rozanov slammed against the boards, he tells himself.
His resolve lasts exactly a minute before the Raiders are out on the ice for warm-up. He can’t help the way his eyes zero in on 81. Can’t help the way he tracks Rozanov across the ice.
Shane watches as Rozanov pauses and then skates around as if looking for something in the crowd. The Russian skates past Shane’s section and backtracks, eyes immediately finding Shane’s. He shoots Shane a sloppy salute and a cocky smile before skating away.
