The world is divided in two halves--the human half, and the monster half. An amazing plot that had me hooked with each word, so enraptured I didn’t even take breaks in between reading— just like a true novel. The characters are wonderful, and the ending is more sweet than bitter, yet enough pain and tragedy is present for the story to feel real. A delight to read through and through.

The movie ends, and the hero gets the girl, right? He meets her gaze across the table and it feels like no one else exists when he tells her: "I did it for you."
There it is then, the picture-perfect happy ending, laughter and smiles all around.
It isn't a happy ending though, if you're the sad fuck who went and fell in love with the most annoying, talkative, insufferable merc in history.
It's not a happy ending for Logan.

I've read this quite a while ago and I've read many more fanfictions after this, but this will continue to be my number one favorite. Stray Dog was literally what got me into AsaDen in the first place. OP's writing had me obsessed with their relationship with each update, screaming to my friends on Discord on how much I loved this work. Needless to say, when the final chapter was uploaded, I was devastated. I'm not even in the CSM fandom anymore, but I'm rereading this fic as I'm writing this. God they're so cute
