“You were there. Just… there.”
Sometimes, when the night was quiet and the thoughts were too much, it was just nice to know that you were there.
And it had been so long since he'd been able to say Peter and just mean Peter.
Maybe being neighbors was enough for now.
Maybe, somehow, neither of you had to be quite so alone anymore.
Or
You and Peter are depressed and bond over how alone you feel. Two lonely people. Too tired to ask for help, too guilty to admit they need it.
And somewhere between friendship, bad decisions, late nights, making yourselves a bit worse before you get better, and getting a little too close... something great will happen :)Also let's see how many Peter Parker tiktok trends I can shove into one story.

England, 1065. Peter is a young Benedictine novice, an unwilling figure of local folklore, and already far too familiar with the particular sins that seem to begin with meeting you after Compline.
A medieval one-shot, heavily inspired by the movie Pilgrimage (2017) but set 200 years earlier and a Spider-man fic.

Summary
After a routine patrol ends with a wrecked bodega, a fresh gash against his cheek, and the uncomfortable realization that trauma may have left more behind in him than Peter Parker wants to admit, he walks into a church simply because the lights are still on.
You don’t know that the hungry, bruised boy in front of you is Spider-Man. Peter doesn’t know that the endlessly helpful girl serving parish suppers is making herself useful because she can't let anyone truly know her.
Neither of you intends for one meal to become another visit. Or another. Or for Peter Parker, little by little, to begin existing again in a place where people remember his name.
But loving someone is considerably harder when Peter believes everyone he loves is safer without him, especially when the thing beneath his skin is beginning to make him wonder whether something evil has been inside him all along.

In a world of protectives (yanderes) and darlings, you'd long ago promised yourself to never be a darling, to never be taken. Peter Parker disagrees with that.
The Avengers, happy to see their newest member taking an interest in someone, are all too eager to help change your mind.

Summary
That night, Peter didn't sleep.
Again.
He lay in bed staring into darkness.
Your scent had somehow followed him home.
Or maybe he'd simply become too aware of it.He turned onto his side.
The wall was only a few feet away.
He could hear you.
Peter squeezed his eyes shut.He was really trying hard not to pay attention to the erection that was starting to strain against his boxers.
You were walking around.
Then you stopped.
Peter held his breath.
A moment later, he heard your bed creak.
Silence.
He relaxed.
Your breathing became slow. Steady.
The thought of you lying there made his cock jump and push so hard against his boxer seams it felt like they were about to rip.Peter stared at the wall. Trying to think about other things.
But he couldn't think of anything or anyone but you.
He wondered what you were dreaming about.
He wondered whether you'd think he was strange if you knew how much he could hear.
He wondered what you wore to bed.

Summary
She meets Peter Parker at 5am on a football field in September, and somehow that becomes the whole story.
Not immediately. First it becomes Thursdays, and then it becomes Ned, and then it becomes Halloween costumes and chemistry homework and banana bread at May's kitchen table and a backpack webbed to a trash can in a Queens alley. First it becomes the specific education of learning someone so thoroughly you could pick their laugh out of any room, their handwriting off any page, the exact weight of their silence depending on what it means.
Then it becomes Michigan.
She leaves in February 2016 with her scarf still on his nightstand and something unfinished sitting between them that neither of them had the time to name.
Years later, by the kind of coincidence that doesn't feel like coincidence at all, she ends up in the apartment across the hall from Peter Parker in a building in Queens. He is not fifteen anymore. Neither is she. The sunrise habit comes back first, because some things are structural. The rest follows slowly, the way it always did with them, without announcement, without ceremony, just suddenly there.
It was always going to end up here.
It just took a while to arrive.

Your new neighbour and Spider-Man have the same unfortunate habit of saying just enough to make you suspicious, but never enough to explain why.
Still, coincidence is not evidence. Similarities prove nothing.
And two plus two only equals four when you can show your work.

Summary
Peter Parker has lost enough people to know that love is just grief waiting for somewhere to happen.
So when he finds you, he does things differently.
He learns your schedule. Your friends. Your heartbeat. Which window you forget to lock and which streets you avoid after dark. He learns exactly how much pressure it takes to break a man's wrist, and how easily blood washes out of red and blue fabric.
Peter calls it keeping you safe.
Everyone else would call it something much worse.

Between the endless studying trying to keep up with your classes at MIT, and your headache of a part time job, it was impossible to find a moment to think about anything but your future. You hardly had any friends and didn’t attend many parties besides the ones your few friends were actually able to coax you into, so looking for the mental energy to deal with a guy long enough to do something like romance, let alone hook up, was the last thing on your mind.
Maybe that’s why you hadn’t caught that you had begun to notice a guy in your building.

Summary
His DNA spikes on a rain-soaked Tuesday night, and something in him locks onto a sound three miles away: a laugh, a heartbeat, a stranger he's never met. The city goes quiet for the first time in months. He tells himself he only wants to know why.
He is already lying.
By morning he'll have a name for what happened to him in that alley. He won't have a name for what he's become — a boy who used to apologize to strangers on the subway, now counting your heartbeat through brick like it's the only thing keeping him alive. He knows what this is. He knows it's wrong. He's going to do it anyway.
You don't know his name yet either. You will. He's going to make sure of it.
