“It’s okay, you’re safe now, you made it out.”
They had made it out. It certainly didn’t feel that way. Jisung’s whole body was still shaking, feeling as if it was tearing itself apart at the seams, and Felix was trying his best to try and make himself as small as possible. Jisung instinctively moved in front of Felix, to block him from view, even as his body trembled in fear.
Nothing felt safe anymore. Not after that.

The few select humans surviving were supposed to look up at the new god with hope, mercy coloring the new gods fingertips, star dust spilling out of their eyes, painted on the new god’s skin.
Instead, they look up at the new god in horror, blood dripping from their fingertips cut off, little holes on their cheeks where star dust should be.
The world ended twenty-four years ago.
Felix was twenty-five.

“But I don’t want to go look at the little kids,” Felix protested, and he took a seat next to Seungmin on the bench. “I want to talk to you.”
