Summary
Bobby stayed for another week to keep an eye on the boys before heading back to Sioux Falls—it was also so Sam could actually sleep, he made sure Dean was okay and that Sam managed to pass out for more than a few hours every night.
In that week, Dean was pretty much talking normally again. Sometimes he stopped and went back to a few words a sentence, but for the most part, he was back to irritating Sam with snarky remarks and subtly sarcastic comments. Unfortunately, in that week, Dean had also actually gotten sick.
”You haven’t got a fever,” Sam said, frowning down at his phone.
”I could’ve told you that,” Dean scowled, sat next to the toilet, leaning back on the bathtub. “I’m not a diagnostic, Dean, I was in pre-law,” Sam defended, perched on the sink, “you wanna take this sickness to court, hey, I’ll be your lawyer otherwise, I’m doing my best with my limited knowledge of health.”

Adam stared at him with a dead expression. True, he did get sicker more often than Sam or Dean had, but he could certainly take care of himself. “I’m 16, not 3, Dean.”
”With the way your nose runs in the cold, no one would be able to tell the difference.”
”Dick,” Adam muttered, crossing his arms. “Okay, kid, I think it’s past your bedtime,” Dean jested, a smile barely being held from his lips. He didn’t retort as Adam groaned and went on about he wasn’t a kid and definitely didn’t have a bedtime—although that was to be debated, save for hunts, John had him in bed strictly at eleven, not asleep per se but what else was he supposed to do when he wasn’t allowed his own phone yet.

Namely being benign angels or grey demons. Sometimes a red haired witch that made his heart race would appear.
And here she was again, in the map room and chattering at Dean angrily about something and holding up half of a burnt scroll. Dean was trying—and failing—to calm her down and Sam swore that if she got any angrier, she might burst into flames herself.

Summary
The forest that Sam passed out in was made of pine and fir and he was fairly certain that was a good sized puddle of blood beneath his stomach when his lights went out.
The forest he woke up in however was made of oak, light and dark, and though he was still bloody and aching, sporting a limp and probably a broken ankle, there was no blood on the floor, just staining one of his favourite shirts and his Carhartt.
That poor jacket had gone through Hell and back and still, somehow, was standing.
