Summary
He blinks slowly. This room is bathed in never-ending black, and to him the sliding pictures appear blinding. Despite this, he chooses to stare ahead at the screen blankly, staving away that uncomfortable sense of faux sleep.
Regardless of what he does, he will not sleep. He knows he will not.
The darkness always takes him, yet never soothes him. Those ghastly visions do not count as real rest.
//
It is three in the morning, and Sunao is watching a late-night television show.

Summary
“Do you regret meeting me?”
The brunet takes a long, slow drag of his cigarette. Baku is sleeping, which means he has ample time to make use of this box.
“What do you mean?” he asks.
He is aware of exactly what Sunao means. Sunao is aware of the fact that Tobi is trying to avoid the question.
///
During the early hours of February 15th, the day after Valentine's Day, Sunao asks Tobi a very peculiar question. Tobi has zero clue how to respond without sounding like an idiot. (He's an idiot either way.)

Summary
Kou wasn’t quite sure how he found himself here. It seemed like one moment, he was behind the counter of some mediocre drugstore, laboring away so he could get in a little more cash before Christmas came by.
The next moment, he was being dragged along by the wrist, taken to some weird holiday party; his younger siblings trailing along obediently, as if they saw absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that their older brother was just abducted from their apartment by one Mahiru Hiruma.
///
Kou goes to a Christmas party and gets a little tipsy. Romance ensues.

Summary
Tobi rolls around in bed for the nth time that night. He stretches his left arm until it reaches the sleeping form of Ryuuko at the other end of the bed, and sighs deeply when the girl does not stir at his lethargic action.
“I wouldn’t have thought his absence would bother you so much,” Baku snickers, and Tobi resists the urge to kick the talking bag out of bed.
“Shut up,” he mutters instead. He turns around and covers his face with the blanket.
///
Sunao undergoes a sleep study so his doctors can monitor his sleeping patterns and brain activity. Tobi copes, albeit the degree of his success is rather debatable.
(That is to say: he doesn't fare very well at all.)

Summary
You've seen it. A fic formatted like a classified document. A chapter that looks like a real social media feed. An interactive game, somehow, inside an AO3 work. You clicked the kudos button. You thought: how.
This is the tutorial that answers that.
A beginner-friendly guide to HTML and CSS on AO3 — no prior coding experience required. By the end of this series, you'll know enough to write formatted fics, build your own workskins, style your entire AO3 interface, and maybe make something that makes other people stop and think how.
