Sometimes, getting to know a person is to walk a mile in their shoes, literally. Other times it’s taking pictures of the things you like, and going for joyrides in the middle of the night. It’s about finding a friend you never knew you needed, in the last place you’d ever look. About wishing you were worth sticking around for, and realizing you were enough all along.

Gorou nearly jumps out of his skin at the voice behind him, ears laying flat against his head. He turns around and, of course, there is Thoma.
Thoma’s eyes shift from Gorou’s hair—oh gods he was looking at my ears wasn’t he?—down to his face. That smile, sincere as ever, is spread across his lips. “I saw you struggling and thought I’d offer a hand, if you want it.”
Oh, he wants a whole lot more than that.

Perhaps it's because the stranger kisses like a razor blade, nipping at Diluc's lips as they stumble into the back of the store, the taste of copper coating their tongues like the wine they share, bloody and sweet.Or maybe it's because Diluc knows that, in the morning, it will hurt, and it is something to look forward to.
