As his mother, Laufey King cheerfully refused to settle any dispute and soon there was at least one person in every realm who laid their claim as Loki's father. Except for the mortal creatures of Midgard, that is.
Tony Stark thinks this needs to be rectified. And Loki Tonyson has a nice ring to it.

Shit.
Goose eats Earl. Nick files an incident report and takes Goose to the lab to wait for her to barf up Earl because Nick is tired of replacing the accent rug in his office. Finance has gotten really stingy with the office budget lately, and Goose’s cat-flerken vomit reeks.
HR assigns Goose her own incident code and installs a BEWARE OF CAT sign on Nick's office door under his nameplate. Earl stops offering unsolicited advice, and Nick buys Goose one of the new expensive horizontal scratching posts that looks like a wave.
Goose looks way too pleased with herself.

"I have to agree with Sam on this one,” Steve said, glancing briefly at the mentioned hero before looking over the assembled group. “Our original thought on him was ex-HYDRA, correct? We know they’re capable of heavy manipulation, and I wouldn’t put it past them to use a kid.”
"I'm not!” Peter exclaimed, eyes wide with desperation. “I swear, I…"
Choosing his words very carefully, the teen spoke softly, "I know what you saw in the wormhole, Mr. Stark." The Avengers almost immediately snapped to attention as soon as the words left his mouth, and he saw his mentor grow visibly tense in front of him. He swallowed, breaths trembling. "And we tried to beat it, sir, we really, really did, but we ran out of moves."
Peter met Tony's gaze.
“Now all we have left on the board is our king."
