The day starts anew just as it always does, with the pale arctic dawn peeking through the gap in clouds and peeking through the crack in the curtains and peeking through the slits between Phil’s feathers. He blinks awake, and he’s still a little tired, though he always wakes up a little tired these days so he doesn’t really think much of it. He thinks that he should get up and get moving, take advantage of the fact that he’s awake before the wind has had a chance to kick up, maybe do an early morning patrol of the property’s perimeter—
—but his blankets are warm and his pillow is soft, and Phil doesn’t need to check the thermometer in his window to know that it’s far below freezing outside; fucking miserable weather. Thus, he indulges. Another day, then.

Techno... looked like shit. Honestly. There wasn't any beating around the bush, it was a plain fact. The sky was blue, the grass was green, the L'Manburgians were dicks, and Techno looked like he had to use ten Totems of Undying in row.
Phil would know. He'd seen Techno doing that, once. And even then he had been better off doing that than... whatever he was doing now.
"Hi, Tech. Need something?" Phil asked, his voice open, inviting for the piglin to answer. Death, let him actually address the elephant in the room and not brush it off-
"Uh. Hullo. I think I'm in need of a bit of help."
