Summary
In a house that shifts with the seasons and a world shaped by magic, Jayce and Viktor raise their three children (with a little help from Blitzcrank, who certainly counts as a fourth). Between the moments of chaos, they find peace— not in quiet, but in the noise of a family they never expected.

If you're into "Jayce and Viktor get four kids and a cottage by a stream" post-canon epilogue-type fanfics, this is the gold standard. Hexmunculus has written a world filled with such sweet magic, such playful children, and such ease and tenderness between Jayce and Viktor after their constant suffering throughout the show. The kids are cute and precocious as hell, the world is so dreamy and magical and tbh I'd love to live on the floating island of Arcadia, and Blitzcrank is everything you want them to be. I know we all love a) freaktacular sexual escapades and b) angsty plotty dramatic heart-wrenching tearjerking longfics for the Good Ship Jayvik but this fanfic I think is ALSO what's so lovely about the two of them: they survived, they're hurting but they're trying, and they have so much love to give. Warms my damn heart. Go read this.

Summary
There are nights when no one dreams, or dreams are small and life-sized: espresso grounds and science books, the tenure track, or people; broken strings and shipwrecked boats, dishabille, or seagulls.
A story of cognitive dissonance and emotional devotion. Drs. Geiszler and Gottlieb deal with the complexities of the post-drift psychological state in a fine-ass, mature blaze of physics puns, banter, poorly prepared meals, questionable wardrobe choices, and, of course, science.

I can't fucking believe CWR is giving DCWT and its wider universe back to us. It is no exaggeration to say this fic has shaped the course of my life; when I first read it in 2014, I was 22 and in need of a friend and guidance. Now I’m 33 and the world is crueler than ever and we could all use the kind of love and resilience and sheer stubborn hope that Newt and Hermann have. DCWT got me through a really rough patch -- the gift of fanfiction! -- and showed me just how playful and genre-bending and transmedia-inclusionary fanfic could be. Here's to Newt and his fraction of a hivemind; here's to Hermann and Hwi and RFID chips and the Supercos; here's to Mako and Raleigh and their big hearts; here's to contrapuntal fugues and neuroscience departments and sheer bloody-minded determination to save the person you love most in the world.

Summary
“Yes, Lord Stark has come to town to help his mother bring out his eldest sister,” Tyrion said, pouring Jaime a glass of wine. “I understand he also plans to take his seat in the House of the Law. His uncle Edmure has been gathering time for him to give his maiden speech.”
“Yes, yes,” Jaime said irritably. “That’s not what matters and you know it. Well?”
Tyrion sighed. “He's nineteen, well-favored, and as far as I know, neither demented nor stupid. And not a hint of a betrothal. Sorry.”

One of the best Regency AU's I've had the pleasure of reading across many fandoms, and just DELICIOUS character work happening here on many levels. It's Astolat so of course the character voices and worldbuilding are pitch-perfect, but it's worth saying anyway -- the level of quality here is HIGH, and that makes the evolution of Robb and Jaime's relationship in this incarnation so wonderful to read. Plus, Tyrion in this fic rules. Cannot recommend highly enough; finding this fic on a wider Jaime-centric reclist and then loving it so much is why I started reading Robb/Jaime. <3

I can't speak highly enough of this series. One of those brilliant AU's where the AU setting enhances the source material and brings out characters' flaws and troubles in a new way. And WHAT an adaptation of AA4 and other Ace Attorney canons. The characterization is brilliant, the dialogue is chef's kiss, the switching perspectives between Apollo and Phoenix/Miles is tasty as hell... my god I'm going to be thinking about this series for a long, long time. Chef's goddamn kiss.

Once again cairophoenix has graced the internet with a thoughtful, well-paced, emotionally tender and character-insightful fic! As the beta of course I’m biased, but I think cairophoenix has gotten to the heart of these two characters in a really masterful way. The Laudna POV is spot-on, and the inclusion of Pâté is so clever, touching, and funny all at once. Plus we still do get a sense of how Imogen’s doing even with the limited perspective. Even though we’ve moved past c3e25 this fic is WELL worth a read — it’s a brilliant look at these two women and the way their love is growing as the campaign progresses. :’)

Summary
The first thing [Newton] does when he gets to his office, smarting from the needle and high on endorphins, is email the eccentric mathematician in Cambridge, the other Cambridge a non-creature-infested ocean away, with whom he’d been corresponding for a while and whom his colleagues have begun to call Newt’s Internet Boyfriend.
Hermann, Newton types, tell me you’ve crawled out from under your rock for long enough to realize your disdain for monster movies is now scientifically invalid.
Please don’t call me that, Gottlieb writes back. I’m already working on it.

Darth Vader, the strong arm of the Sith, held loyal to his Order since they took he and his mother from slavery in the deserts of Tatooine. Until he became convinced they killed his wife. He abandoned his Order and disappeared in the chaos of the Clone Wars, presumed dead by all sides.
That young Skywalker is known around town as a widower and homesteader; a Nabooian who emigrated to avoid the trade blockade; a father of overly-energetic twins and warding a Togruta war orphan; a decent mechanic if your farm equipment or maintenance droid is acting up.
Anakin is a paranoid, over-protective hot mess doing his best to raise his weird pack the way Padmé would have wanted. How the hell is he supposed to do that when his kids and not-apprentice make him haul a half-dead Jedi Master home like a lost pet?

just walking, making our feet move ahead of us,
a little bored, a little lost, a little angry,

walking as if there was something to see at Adelaide or maybe on King,
something that will give a fair return for this use of shoe-leather,
something that will make us smile with a strange new
happiness, a lost but recovered joy.- Raymond Souster, “Yonge Street Saturday Night”

Bookmarker's Notes
I read this 237,407-word fanfic in the space of four days, during a time in my life this winter when I was anxious and apprehensive and needed an escape. This fic was an escape, yes, and a goddamn gorgeous one at that, but it also was a gift. It helped me work through the shit I was anxious and apprehensive about, and it enhanced the world of Schitt's Creek for me in a way that I haven't experienced a fic do for media since Presque Vu, honestly. one of the all-time greats on this website, for real for serious.

One would think that having the name of one's soulmate appear on one's wrist on one's sixteenth birthday would make matrimony much less complicated. It mostly does not. And not at all for Miss Elizabeth Bennet of Longbourne.

Loki is not a good man, he knows; there is something rotten in the core of him; and even a much better man might let Thor kiss him, since Thor still tastes of sizzling lightning, like gathering rain, like a desire so fierce and so awful to him that when released it could bring Asgard to its knees.

Alex is an editor at a New York publishing house, and that means her life is going right. She has her apartment, and the gym, and Kara a subway stop away. So if her apartment’s always empty at the end of the day, that’s just how things are. She spends a lot of time at the office, anyway. She’s making it, and that’s something she can be satisfied with.
And then a mysterious book arrives.

okay I was cairophoenix's beta for this fic so I've loved it for a while, but AHH it's so good. publishing isn't an AU you see everyday so that alone makes it worth checking out, and then the arc this story takes is just lovely so it's even more worth it. in this day and age we could all do with more ladies loving ladies, and more self-growth, and more close-knit chosen family. I'M SO PROUD OF MY FRIEND!
