Daigo narrowed his eyes, scanning the scene. It didn’t feel right. The quiet chatter of the guests scattered across Morning Glory’s beach was slightly louder than the steady sound of the waves crashing on the sand. Eerily peaceful. Daigo had never felt more out of place. At any moment someone was going to notice him brooding in a corner, a blot on that cheerful Okinawan landscape, and ask him to leave.
