“Like I said,” Kinich calmly repeated. “I want to tell Mualani how I feel.”
For an excruciatingly long moment, Aether just stared at him. “What you… feel?” he repeated slowly, as if he couldn’t believe that what he was hearing was true. He pointed an incredulous finger at Kinich, almost jabbing his eye in the process. “You are in love with Mualani?”
Kinich raised an eyebrow. Had he not already clarified this obvious statement in his emergency letter to him? He was seriously questioning Aether’s reading ability. “Yes,” he answered with as much patience he could muster. “I am.”
