Summary
Over time, she had come to realize multi is single-handedly the only person on the island who actually gives a shit about her. Everyone else keeps things from her. They lie, manipulate, and plan against her. Multi however had always made her feel like an equal. Like someone she was on level ground with.
He was distraught when he learned Katie had given up nacho a few days back. Even though her plan in the long run was to get everybody back (which worked). She couldent blame him for not wanting to speak to her last night. He would likely never want to see her again.
Therefore, if she could give up her life to keep him and nacho safe, it would be a win win scenario
He wouldn’t have to be around Katie, the evil monster who sacrificed his child to the literal devil. And she wouldn’t have to live without the one person who ever cared about her.
Or
Katie is captured by the dark Feds thinking nobody will care to find her, she is quickly proven wrong

She knew what she was. Only one animal could be so pathetically clingy. She would search for the hands that didn't search for her. Roll over and present herself, aching for approval and affection. Humiliation was at the forefront of her mind. Anxiety mingled with a deep sense of wanting, and then shame. Shame for ever wanting to begin with.

Summary
There’s a specific frequency only animals can hear. So high pitched and sharp it’d make them writhe in pain. Dogs especially are sensitive to the noise. Whining aloud and desperately trying to cover their ears to make it stop. Crudelly mimicked by dog whistles to keep them in check.
But there’s an interesting thing most don’t know. Even if you can’t hear it, people are also affected by it. Maybe at best a phantom headache if it’s not too strong. Or at worse, death from internal organs rupturing from the vibrations.
And there’s a special tune in between. When done just right. Activates the neurons just so. Enough to make your brain act on impulse. Heightened by the pain it can’t understand and whiting out reason. Delegating function to subconscious actions rather than conscious ones. Making it more susceptible. More pliable.
Lettuce finds that frequency. And makes his very own dog whistle. Meant for just one person.
