Summary
There's a one of a kind box with a wire which tipped Shadow into full sublimity with the element of forbidden resistance. Perhaps a Bluetooth-like switch to a chip in his brain, where if turned off, he would become no different to his predecessor, the Biolizard, with dire need of a life supply. All life supplies had been destroyed or burnt ablaze from post turmoil, granting Shadow the only stability when the chip was switched off.
Given its effect had so much perplexity, the tool was made to be abused and reused to Sonic's desire - his loving boyfriend. From affectionate rivalry to cruel revelry, every ounce of hurt and shame was dumped onto the most vulnerable, who continuously kept deciding that he couldn't take it anymore but was only ever disturbed by relentless survival and the hindrance of resurrection.
It was a catastrophically grave adventure for Shadow, and as for the insular Sonic, it was a monotonous week or two.
