It had been four years since Sunny cut Mari's clock short. But even before that, he was suffering. During recital practice, he was screamed at. Screaming turned into shoving and yelling, which turned into slapping and scratching. Eventually he'd simply spend days stuffed inside of a dark Storage room downstairs, crying to be let out. He knew it wasn't Mari who did this to him. Mari was kind and perfect. No, it was something else. It had taken control of her body and used it to torture him relentlessly, at least that's how he saw things.
But after four years, Sunny finally leaves his house, ready to see what the world has to offer for him. Is it more punishment for what he did to Mari? Is it nothing but more darkness? Or maybe he can find the truth trough rediscovering his friends. Maybe he can even find forgiveness for himself.
TL,DR: Mari was extremely abusive to Sunny during recital practice and he's in denial about it even four years after.
This Fic is a sequel to my Previous work, "Creature". I recommend you read it or else you'll struggle to understand what "The Creature" is meant to represent. And also things will be quite different from Canon.

After SUNNY jumps off the roof of the hospital building, he wakes up back in the past on the day of the incident. Not wanting to repeat the same mistake he did last time, he manages to save MARI and change everything, going into a coma for six years. MARI blames herself and becomes a reclusive shut-in with her own mental trauma of the event. Eventually, SUNNY wakes up to find himself in a different reality than the one he's familiar with, and will have to deal with a sister who's still alive but dealing with her own guilt and suffering from the incident that ruined both of their lives.
Friends are similar, with minor differences. BASIL seems much healthier in this reality, but is he really?
Once everything is over, will SUNNY find the strength to forgive himself for the sins he committed in the previous reality.

Here's the Sum-Mari! *giggles in French*
Just a day after moving away from Faraway Town, Sunny, with his mother, have settled in their new apartment in Near City. It wasn't easy for Sunny as he wished to stay in Faraway, mostly because he wanted to be there for his friends, especially after telling the truth to them about what happened to Mari. He got over it, though, because he has contact numbers of his friends anyway, and a new adventure in this city awaits! Or... so he thought.
At the end of the day when Sunny slept, having done everything that he could for the day, he is visited by what he sees as a peculiar man in his dream. Sunny then learns that this man in his dream apparently can rewind time for him, but only once. Sunny then tells the man that he wishes to go back to the day where it all went wrong.
What happens afterwards brought him many different emotions and feelings; safe to say that the young man couldn't comprehend it after seeing a loved one that he had been longing to meet again.
Happiness ensues.
