Azula had always been a firebending prodigy. At the age of 11, she had already mastered more techniques than most firebenders could in a lifetime. So it was no surprise to anyone that she'd be next in line for the throne. However, nobody knew of Azula's darkest secret. She was passionately in love with her best friend, Ty Lee. This act of defiance would change everything. Suddenly the progress she made, the skills she honed no longer belonged to a tool for Firelord Ozai to exploit but to someone with the potential to threaten his rule. He had no choice but to exile her and settle for Zuko has his successor.
Banished and stripped of her honor, Princess Azula must kill the Avatar in order to regain her place as the golden child of the royal family.

His voice rasps and hisses, and when he finally faces towards him Sokka notices the massive blackened scar across half his face and eye. “What are you doing!?”
His tail slaps into the water as he speaks, and Sokka barely resists rolling his eyes at the poor excuse for aggression. “Swimming, obviously. What’s up, grumpy?”
“You’re in my home, get out.” The snarling continues, and the gator swims towards him with a rumbling warning.
