Uzi didn't want to go on some dumb camping field trip just to babysit her younger sister, Gauge. But her parents forced her to chaperone, for whatever reason Uzi couldn't fathom. While there, she didn't bother with any activities, and most certainly didn't want to be around her sister.
In trying to hike back to the cabins on her own after getting fed up with dumb camp activities, night soon fell and Uzi got incredibly lost. As desperation set in to get out of the stupidly endless woods, she ended up finding a facility. Inside this facility was a ominous pinkish-red glow.
With nowhere else to go, and the hopes that there'd be some electricity still running through it, Uzi ventured down into the sinkhole in the very center of this unknown facility. There, she'd find something that was never meant to see the light of day or night.

Summary
Dazai floats. The air leaving his lungs, lulling him into a peaceful sleep. The cold waves roaring overhead, sinking him deeper into the dark abyss of the sea. It was calming. Calming in a way that was usually out of his reach.
Most people associate drowning with pain. The burning feeling of all air leaving your lungs as they slowly fill with water. Dazai feels at peace, however.
The water is cold, numbing all his senses. The harsh need to breathe dawns in his mind, but he tries his best to ignore it.
He feels something akin to cold hands cradling him soothingly. He leans into the hug and closes his blurry eyes, embracing the feeling of his consciousness leaving him. It's nice.
That is, until he's rudely snapped back to reality.
Or; Mer!Chuuya saves Monster Hunter!Dazai from a suicide attempt by turning him into a mermaid.

Summary
The beach itself isn’t exactly typical either. It’s split into two sections: the sand and the rocks. The rocks make up the bulk of the park. They’re large boulders with caves and holes in them that look like geysers when the tide is high, hence the name of the preserve. It’s well known among locals to stay off of them lest you get trapped during high tide or fall off a ledge during low tide. Tourists, on the other hand, love slipping and bashing their heads open on them. Thus, the sign at the entrance.
She explains as much to Maki as they bring their supplies to a patch of sand towards the middle of the shoreline. It’s a good middle ground that gives them a clear view of most of the beach, besides the far side of the rocks that are off limits to visitors.
“Do people do anything but die on this beach?” Maki asks sarcastically as she firmly plants their umbrella in the sand.
“That’s all there is to do in Neptune,” Nobara scoffs, straightening out their large towel on the sand. “Show up, sit around on the beach, and then die.”
Or: Nobara hates her hometown. The vampire isn't helping matters.
