Gavin lost his arm in the revolution, and had no choice but get a prosthetic installed if he wished to keep his job, but it was never easy. His arm was created by none other than his dear older brother Elijah Kamski. Getting used to the arm wasn’t easy, but he tries. Also it doesn’t help that his arm malfunctions when he’s close to Nines. (Who is kinda oblivious to the fact that Gavin has a robo arm and that Gavin has a big fat crush on him.)

Detective Conan Stern does his job well. Far better than most, and yet, he somehow still ends up with a partner. A disobedient partner, with a foul mouth, temper, and may just be as broken as himself. How this android made it through any form of quality assurance, he would never know.
But at least it might work out in the end, if everyone plays their cards right.

Summary
Nines had been working as an ER nurse in the trauma unit for around six years by the time 2035 rolled around. Now here he was having his whole life turned upside down by a singular android. A GV200 police android who acted as a glorified EMT to bridge a difficult gap between crime scenes and the ER.
Nines never expected for the GV200 to catch feelings of the human variety or for himself to catch feelings of the romantic variety. But here they were, falling in love and finding out what it means to be deviant.

The last guard job they give the GV200 isn't much more than a kid. 25, 26 maybe. Det. C. Anderson, or so says the uniform the bosses dress him in before they throw him into the ring. But for all the times Gavin has been able to look away before, the kid is the one where it has to intervene.
Reverse!AU in which Connor runs afoul of a criminal organization with a hell of a reach, and the refurbished GV200 set to guard him ends up saving him, instead. Learning-the-emotional-ropes deviant and traumatized detective adventures ensue.

A loud obnoxious laugh was the only answer for quite a while. Before Connor would have just asked what was so funny, but Connor lived with Hank. There was no amusement. It was cold and bitter.
Why should Gavin believe they are alive when he himself is made of the same material and can't even find a good enough reason to even pretend to breathe.

He tugged at his trapped wrists, seeming shocked when he couldn’t free himself with just one yank. “Gavin, what are you doing?” he asked, looking up at him for a moment before avoiding his eyes entirely. “You’re acting weird.”
“Not any weirder than the guy who put a huge dick on an android for seemingly no reason.” Gavin rested a hand on the messy table and leaned in to try and catch Nines’s attention. “And refuses to look at me when I ask him about it, huh?” he added, running a quick scan just to make sure he hadn’t just fucked something up. “Wonder what’s up with that?”
