This Cas/Jack fic was sad and needy yet so sweet.
The beginning brought to my mind an immediate desperate need to see a new image manip; the tweet of Dean/Cas at the lake at sunset need to become Jack/Cas at sunset!
Later as the story developed Jacks' sorrow, I thought of The Doctor watching as the Face of Bo finally ended his long long life. I now truly need to both read your story of Cas/Jack's last visit, conversation, sharing love and memories & to see a manip with Cas (wings displayed) added to the scene of The Doctor in the Face of Bo's last moment.
The end of your story nearly made me weep, feeling the weight of Jack's years, sorrow, solitude and memories.
I absolutely love when a story can make me feel such strong emotion and experience visual imagery almost as if they were my own memories. Thank you for giving me these.
